not even just for digicore, this is actually a super useful tutorial for vital. the way you explain stuff is all explained in context of how you would use it or what questions you would naturally ask if you were trying to use it and what parts of vital can answer those questions. a lot of "sound design" tutorials (which i'm sure are great for people who are already experienced with this stuff) get super heady and abstract and end up just confusing me more. i know it was a joke but the visual at 0:48 actually made vital so much easier to understand.

@moresnqpАй бұрын
if u wanna keep that "8 bit" sound with multiple waveforms, set the phase percentage to 0. you can also use FM for Sega Genesis esque sounds, and with LFO for some y2k pop stuff. also, download OTT, codec, all the kilohertz free pack. also also! the traditional reese bass is which uses way less space in the mix, is just two saw waves pitched up and down 20-40 cents respectively. i like to distort carefully, and then Automate (with an LFO or manually with clips) a low pass filter
@moresnqpАй бұрын
8:30 i would consider adding an extra low pass filter or eq here to make sure this lead doesnt clash with the hi hat, bitcrush noise, and vocals
@kaasbaaskoningАй бұрын
Another small tip for EQing out low end noise from the noise osc, you can map it to one of the 2 filters on the bottom left, so it only affects the noise oscillator and not whatever other oscillators are enabled. It also has many more modes than the EQ fx, such as a vowel filter or comb filters which can give some cool sounds. I also find the downsample distortion a bit lacking, so i prefer using the kilohearts bitcrush which has some more parameters
@nightigerxoАй бұрын
i do agree on the downsampler being worse than most, it's one of my biggest problems with vital tbh
