It takes a lot of maturity to have these conversations and do so with as much ease and compassion as Bishop Pearson and Deepak are showing some members of this audience. Kudos to you both because... :-)

Since Consciousness Positive / Negative is fully manifested in the Universe by our own existence we can safely assume there may be intelligences at work beyond the scope of our scientific observations..both Beneficent (Godly) and Malevolent (Satanic)..

Deepak makes no sense. You cannot corner him because he just makes something nonsensical up to show he is not contradicting himself or he pulls out something that has nothing to do with the topic to get the conversation on to something else. He does that with the woman in the first part of this video.

Deepak's tendencies to conjure up nerve shatteringly awkward situations through what can be perceived as being insanely ambiguous responses coupled with a certain cheekiness, makes for compulsive viewing. I agree with both him and Carlton on the whole and understand what he's saying but it sure can be blisteringly funny to watch him ramble on.

Sir, it is very laudable. I agree with what you say. Where do you live? If you live in the USA, I can say that by definition you are living in a prosperous nation, you are not entirely without comfort and qualified to judge. Today if all the nations of the world consume as much as North America does, we would need 3 planet Earth's to sustain that consumption!! I live in India and I feel that this philosophy of yours should be practiced here where there is abject poverty.

In response I would say this. I cannot think of a single truly great spiritual teacher who was wealthy. Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, St Francis of Assisi, St Seraphim of Sarov, Jalaladin Rumi, etcetera. Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, etcetera, all emphasized the importance of living simply and even actually embracing poverty. Muhammad said, "poverty is my pride". And its not a case of "sour grapes". I aspire towards living a simple, materially detached life. My wife & I have given away our tv, rugs, etc

Geniuses tend not to make self-refuting statements like: "All beliefs are hiding insecurities". What, Deepak, including that belief? Hes a complete relativism, which is arguably the most absurd philosophical position ever. Deepak is also getting rich from his books, which, I'm sorry to say, mitigates against him being a spiritual teacher.

Sir, that is if he or she hankers for wealth.I don't think that he is essentially a greedy person, just as every pauper is not essentially a spiritual person. Yes, poverty does help in making one spiritual, since in suffering one turns to spirituality.

If we want a more just and egalitarian world then we should give our wealth away to others, like Muhammad did, for instance. The world produces enough for our needs, not enough for our greeds, as Gandhi said (who was himself poor). Deepak Chopra is a millionaire when there are people all over the world who don't even have enough to eat! So, what I'm saying, is that a millionaire is essentially a greedy person; and a greedy person is not a spiritual teacher by definition.
@Postcalculus11 жыл бұрын
"Deepak is also getting rich from his books." Is it a case of sour grapes, or simply because you don't make money, you qualify as a spiritual teacher? How driven by jealousy people can start hitting below the belt. Try earning your spurs by saying something positive. When do we get to read a book written by you, and you must give away all earnings. You have your chance at spirituality. Be the change you expect from others.
@Paphosmentos12 жыл бұрын
Pearson is joke 'God wouldnt punish because He says we shouldnt' hmm how about we have no right to pass out judgement and should help each other because we are in no position to judge as we are as evil as everyone else and Christ as creator and sinless and blameless Lamb of God is the only one in that position. All judgement has been given to the Son John 5:22
