I’m interested in your point because I don’t really like the models because I like chaos being really connected to the chaos gods. I can see the models appeal to most people, what is it that doesn’t appeal to you?

@@aleczandergordon1298 they are the epitome of pointless spiky bits to be kewl. I don’t like it in the 80s, and it’s only got worse. Death Guard kind of works for me as they look like decayed and bloated versions of their original form, which is on point for Nurgle and Space Egyptians are funky in their way but the core Chaos range isn’t to my taste.

I got my pre-order in. The Mandrakes will either go to a friend that's looking for a Deldar team or eBay because they don't interest me in the slightest. I'm building both gunners and heavy gunners because why would I not when I have the parts. I can see your point about the melta, but I feel it's a more situational choice rather and an always 1 or the other. Same goes for ML vs HB. I really, really love the TacPloy to make them super effective against loyalist marines. That's delightful.

Your enthusiasm about the skinthief was infectious. Glad youre excited about them too, I've been obsessed with playing this team since the first teaser. Regarding Foreboding, I think it being limited to once per turning point is harsh but fair. My ideal solution would be to make it cost escalating CP amounts per turning point, so if you can manage to drum up six tokens, you can go for a massive play. I would also accept twice per turning point, i think thats a bit more reasonable while still keeping it very very powerful indeed. I remain unconvinced on the visionary's chainsword since my friend plays all the elf teams, and turning them into paste is a very attractive fantasy. But i do want to paint it. Maybe I'll flip a coin. Great video as always, my eyes are peeled for the mandrake breakdown

52:54 GK have the Psyk-Out Grenade which would be 3/5 damage and Lethal 5+ on this guy, and SoS have Psychic Abomination which means they can't be targeted with Dosconcerting Mimicary.

1:01:30 Depends where you are. There's plenty of places I've played when I'd have been very happy to take a concession and go & grab food early or a comisaratons pint with a nice guy who was just unlucky enough to bring something my list hard countered.

My hot take. Worse than legionary the same as intercession. Would love to be wrong but still get out activated by 90% of teams and no where near as durable as Tzeentch/Nurgle legionary. It’s will be like playing a better version of Slaanesh/khorne legionary.

My read is you will always take RL & Plasma on anything but ItD, and 90% of the time on ItD. Like you though I’m bad at the game.
