6:05 I remade this meme for my son, using the scene from Beast Wars, when Dinobot dies, along with his dying words. Every Saturday morning, we had to watch Beast Wars. He was little (5 or 6) and when this happened, he cried so hard. I'll admit, I teared up a little myself. Beast Wars was highly underrated! It actually dealt with a lot of complex issues. Loyalty, honor, right/wrong, betrayal, love and even death. I managed to get the DVD set of both Beast Wars and Beast Machines and he still watches them every now and then when he's in the mood.

@pixelizedgirl It actually was. I held him on my lap and let him cry. Then we talked. Told him that death is just our final step here, before we move on to wherever we go next. Told him it's OK to be sad but we should also be proud because he died saving everybody. I think it helped because it actually made it easier the next time Dinobot died in the last episodes. He looked up at me and said, "He saved everybody again!" He's 27 with a 1 y.o. of his own and STILL remembers that.

@pixelizedgirl Sorry so long winded lol It was our Saturday morning thing. We did a lot together. Played catch, tag, hide-n-seek, taught him to paint on rainy days, but our thing was always Beast Wars, every Saturday. He said when his daughter is old enough, he's gonna watch it with her too. I still borrow the sets about once a year myself. Lol He has both Beast Wars and Beast Machines.

@pixelizedgirl And don't worry, this will be the last part of the comment. The most touching part is that he's not actually my son. He was born after my ex and I divorced. His biological dad was a POS who beat the crap out of her and then disappeared. I used to go to her house on weekends because she worked nights on Friday and Saturday and by spending time there, we got close. When he turned four, he asked, for his birthday wish, if he could call me dad. I talked it over with my ex and she said she couldn't ask for somebody better to be his father, if I was OK with it. I told him yes, he could call me dad but that meant that he got not only the good parts (hugs, bedtime tuck ins, boo-boo kisses) but also scoldings when he misbehaved. Luckily, he was a good kid and got 99% of the good part. Lol
