As a paleontologist, we should absolutely NOT bring back the 'woolly mammoth'. Absolutely agree with the researcher at the University of Buffalo. This thing is not a woolly mammoth, and even if it was, what sort of hubris does it take to bring a woolly mammoth back to a planet that is warming? We'd bring it back to an environment that is not only not native to, but also the likely habitable areas will be shrinking. I hope no public funding was involved.

They don't know it's 99.6% the same unless they are only missing 0.4% of the mammoth's DNA. It may be a good estimate, but likely only an estimate. There should be an environmental impact study: 1. For introducing them on the earth. 2. For the bacteria in the elephant stomach that will be replacing the bacteria in the mammoth stomach. How are they going evolve differently plus exposed to mammoth meat 3. Will they be using the same mitochondria that was in the original mammoth? I don't think so. Need to study how mitochondria are going to evolve in mammoth cells. Anyone of these actions could evolve and do major damage to our earth and humanity. If you think chemical pollutants hurt this planet wait, until you see what biological pollutants do. Humans always make the same mistake over and over again.

We can study multiple topics at once. 1. There's different types of research and scientists. These are evolutionary developmental biologists and archeologists. Cancer research involves medical physicians, biomedical biologists and cancer biologists. 2. There's literally hundreds of thousands to a million of cancer research scientists working on various cancer research right now. 3. Cancer is a literally thousands of different disease types and subtypes with their own mechanisms of behavior. So, there's no singular "cure". 4. There's no actual "cure" of cancer because again, it's thousands of different disease types and subtypes. In oncology, the best outcome is extended lifelong remission. That being said unfortunately, once someone is diagnosed with cancer, their risk of another cancer is raised.

They've been seeding clouds in my hometown in Montana. Been going on for 7 days straight. The planes fly over and the trails break up into layers of thousands of oddly round puff ball clouds. The clouds eventually ball together into weird shaped dark ominous clouds all headed straight east.
