Been watching for several years and I feel like your videos have changed a little recently. Thank you for taking a more relaxed approach, enjoying the game more and not forcing your way through. I find it more fun to watch when you take your time a little more with the characters rather than finishing the game at a low level making it through just by overpowering everything. An occasional speed run is fun to watch, but it's nice to see the variety of a little slower play through as well.

idk if you read these comments but for your game, one idea you can do is after 100 you get another exp bar and when it fills you get an item or something to trade in for an item. 100 being a cap is a good goal to reach for, I wanna feel finished. Everything afterwords should feel like extra.

It’s so funny to me that D2 was made with literally no endgame in mind and has 1000x the replayability of D4. Also the D4 fanboys hating on D2 because “you have to do 1000 Mephisto runs” and now everyone is bored of D4 because you’re just doing generic dungeons with objectives you don’t care about instead.

@@truefitness3277 I can't explain it but D2R just feels fresh for me and loot is exciting when you actually get something rare to complete a build like Griffins eye or a Ber rune. D4 i went in on the game hard, even took a week off work but it feels even worse to play than when D3 was in it's first 6 months. D2r has a certain something to it and i love the game!

@@stephen686 It’s because the itemization in D2 is incredible which makes every moment exciting. Contrast that to D4 where every item is +vulnerable damage, + critical strike damage, +34 willpower. It’s not even exciting to find items because you know they are trash.

Pretty sure everyone complaining "But Llama, Holy Fire isn't Zeal!" either 1. enjoys watching you suffer, 2. has never leveled up a physical zealot (or similarly has only seen a maxed Grief zealot), or 3. expects you to use shared stash for Angelic's, Passion, Treachery, etc. Great guide, no matter what the haters spew. I'm always impressed by your thick skin, especially lately in the face of the D4ers. Keep up the fantastic content, very excited for part Hell!

Llama ive been watch you sense d2r launch and i have to say, you are so entertaining, your playthrus teach so much and you do them so well, explaing each decision and why plus alternatives. Thru not only these but so lany other videos like , crafting, runes ubers whatever you have done it, made it easily digestible AND ENTERTAINING...... You must be a lesser evil in hiding yourself lol. When I level characters I usually kill Nightmare Countess to about 45 before I go through the rest of the game. Also on one of my playthroughs I managed to get a Harlequin Crest in the area outside the Flayer's Dungeon & Eschuta's Temper in the Frozen River while going to rescue Anya.

I mean I love Llama, and have been following him for a LONG time, and I hope I'm wrong. But I cannot see a future, where his game is going to be a success outside of his viewer base, the way he describes, and has been describing it, it just sounds like any other indie turn based, copy-paste game (with a different coat of paint), and those games are literally the most common, and the easiest games to just pump out in obscene quantities, and it sound like he has sunk way to much money into it, for it to be able to even slightly make that money back. It is very admirable what he is trying to do, with the whole stand against micro/macro transactions, but that just isn't a rare thing to see in the indie market. I know he has said he doesn't really care about the money, but I still refuse to believe he wont be disappointed, if the game floppes, like the vast majority of indie games. I honestly believes that he should stop talking about the game, until they have released something. I know building hype is generally a good thing, but when it's his first game, and the game still haven't been publicly available. Just look at Peter Molyneux (Designer of Black & White games), he has a habit of over hyping his games, only for it to end in disappointment.

Work has not been fun lately and I'm really struggling and am in a D2 mood, literally right before going to the home page I was hoping this second part would be up and there it was. yay. It's also kind of crazy how strong Holy Fire is now; I know it used to be strong through normal and used to use it to level, but the fire damage radius proc taking out mobs in NM was kind of wild to watch. This playthrough kind of makes me want to run through with a zeolot, maybe holy shock though after initially using holy fire.

About lama rpg: there is oldschool mmo called tibia that doesnt have any level cap and it makes it kinda interesting. There is always a bigger fish and its fun. It has open world pvp so basically anyone can kill you when ýou are doing w/e you are doing. Good stuff, if you die you either loose big money or your gear :D

Regarding capped / uncapped levels I am def on the capped side. a skill "charging up and use stored xp" could be fun like "use this skill for [+x% chance] on crafting [wanted affix/suffix] after charging up [amount of stored xp needed]" or "increase your chance of your next hit to inflict [random status]", like truely unique "one-time-skills" every xxxk xp also I see interesting concepts of "uncapped" levels like OSRS. 99 is a tough grind to reach and everything u need. still you can climb up to 120 (an x-times longer grind than to 99) for almost no benefit, like it is a overall 0,5-1% "stat boost"

for your llama rpg: if you have no cap on lvls you have to make certain gear upgradable via farmable mats.. it would suck to farm the same gear over and over again.

I believe a 3 to holy fire scepter is a great weapon to shop for. It is kinda my go to for ladder start.

Its worth pushing through to NM Act 5 as Holy Fire, you can spend time on Eldritch and level to and through lvl70, especially nice in HC. Also I would personally max out Zeal after Resist Fire for added physical dmg and much needed AR. I would go all the way to Hell Andariel as Holy Fire to farm her end game pieces.

Doesn’t zeal also like add additional attacks during the animation? I’m still pretty noob to D2R but I’ve seen people mention not putting too many points into zeal because you’ll get animation locked and won’t be able to escape or do anything really while you’re in the animation

Hey @MrLlamaSC, I have a better idea for your endgame. Why not use ascends as a endgame mechanic, but instead of just boosting the characther make the player make another choice( like combining 2 skills into a single one, or let him restart but keeping 25% of his atributes, or let him restart with bonus skill points. Or let him restart but let him a pirce of gear of his choice and make it work for lvl0, things like that). Also the ascends would be limited at 10 or 20, something like that.

As selffound char you should have considered switching to holy freeze. Gives you a really chilly playthrough. With crescent moon it's really good even in hell difficulty. I could kill monsters in hell act1 with steel runeword in a long sword. You can farm crypta and mausoleum for a while until you find a better weapon or a rune like UM.

Any advicd on how to play a Zealot Fanatic? Currently at level 69, and although I managed to finish nightmare, can't progress on Hell (risk death every time). My equipment is subpar on the defense aspect (all normal), only armor is excepcional and weapon is an Elite Falcata. But everything can kill me on hell. Should I abandon Fanaticism and go for elemental auras?

I always took holy fire to act 3 NM, then respec'd then. Of course, I also overlevel my melee builds, too

New game plus could be a type of option where maybe you unlock another item slot that gives you bonuses... maybe levels at that point stop being "static" and you can lose levels even.

low quality got the same socket as normal item. I once get a low quality monarch and make spirit on it. the only different is durable is 20. But if you upgrade low quality to normal by cube recipe, you will get it level 1 so max 3 sockets.

Last wish is only really nice for ubers. I have a dual dream pally and I never really need to swap out my Grief. There are times when I use Crescent moon for fun, but if I wanted some crushing blow for ubers I could always just wear Gore Riders.

The +350-400 flat damage of grief makes it better than basically any melee weapon in D2 due to how damage is calculated. So I'd save your other high runes and use them elsewhere and go with a grief.

Grief is better, as a physical/lightning hybrid very few enemies are immune to both, while grief gives more physical dmg to leech from making your character tougher overall

Mrlama or anyone else. I have been playing d2r on ps5 for the last year. Recently I have come across 2 bugs and I am wondering if anyone else has experienced them?? 1. On my sorceress I will be teleporting around, occasionally when I stop and fight after teleporting my character will all of a sudden teleport 1 time in a random direction without me using the spell. 2nd bug is when I use telekinesis to go through a TP from town, once I get back into the world I am unable to use any spell, and the only way to fix this is to quit my current game.

the only thing i can think of for your first issue is if you are using occulus then you teleport when hit. if not using occy then that is annoying

Very true the difference is how fast you acquire your build . I was done with my barb item wise in d4 in exactly 5 days. And every class uses about 80% of the same leggos so on average you can finish every class in about a month all that’s left are the last 30 levels whereas it took me about 17 years to find a zod rune. I think d4 can get there it just needs about 4 more seasons and about 200 more legendaries.
