NIGHTMARE in Goa, India (& why we left) 🇮🇳

Welcome back to another video.
This is going to be quite an unusual vlog. Reuniting with my boyfriend Ben in Goa did not quite go as expected. We were looking forward to a couple weeks of partying and beach days, but instead our time here turned into an absolute disaster, and unfortunately, we could not enjoy Goa as we had hoped.
Ben made the mistake of traveling with Qatar Airways and Indigo Airlines, who not only lost his suitcase in transit and treated us horribly for 2 weeks, they also delivered the wrong suitcase back to us TWICE.
We will certainly not travel with either of those airlines again.
This video is a storytime of what we did during those two weeks to get the suitcase back, and also goes to show that the reality of traveling is not always fun and glamourous. It can also be stressful and challenging, and drain your energy.
Our first few days, we stayed in a town called Arambol. I had heard so much about this place and been wanting to go for so long, but was very dissappointed with the rude encounters we had with some foreigners.
We then left Arambol and went to a beautiful place called Patnem, where we had a lovely time that allowed us to process what we were going through.
I know a lot of you had hoped for a different Goa vlog, and I'm sorry I couldn't deliver that this time. But let me tell you, from here on, things get even crazier (in a good way) and the upcoming vlogs are amazing!

I am a German who married a Goan. For the last few years many accidents have occurred causing people ( Mostly Goans) to lose their lives due to drunk drivers. Loud party music being played at night causing nuisance to the local people. In Germany if you play loud music after 10 pm the neighbours will call the cops on you.

@@aksin5178 we did ask them multiple times to send us pictures and they Never did. We were not in control of the communication as they rarely replied to anything we said. If you really were the smart one you’d consider that you don’t know every word that was exchanged over the course of 2 weeks. And you would also know to be kinder to people. I don’t usually reply to nonsense but I wish you all the best in your journey through life✌️

@@hellyfromtheblock Kind to you for posting a dumbass video? Hell no. They literally brought to you 2 bags after driving for hours for free. While the bags were the wrong bags, they did all they could to find your bag & finally delivered it to you the third time. Just calling them a million times a day & showing us your call logs proves NOTHING. How do I not know that they told you that it is being searched and yet you continued to pester them? I fly with Indigo all the time - 10 times a year - and they happen to be very professional. The only thing the video proved is that your videos are non sense.

Glad it worked out! Suggestions for the future - Travel Insurance, Keeping expensive things & meds in hand baggage. Shit happens, especially when you travel often! Don't waste a week of your holiday frustrated, claim insurance and move on!

I sympathize with you folks. Qatar Air too flies to Mumbai--you should have taken it instead of Indigo. Indigo is really a domestic airlines where it is a dominant player-- that is/has been trying to act (read pretend) as if it were an international one. As it is, customer protection is mostly a non-existent concept in India. One can "solve" such problem if and only if one has political power or has a lot of money or has social connections . BTW, I have had the "your luggage was not loaded" problem multiple times in Europe and US with no less unpleasantness; A couple of times the destination airlines staff passed off the blame on their own fellow co-workers (being the same airlines), as if the previous legs had been operated by some other airlines. Lesson: Have one set of lightweight pants, shirt and underwear, meds and other absolute essentials in your carry-ons. Of course, while we are busy dissin' Indigo, at least a part of the blame could be with Qatar Air (looked like wrongly tagged baggage--which could have happened at the origin).

Firstly, shit happens, glad that you guys could look beyond it. As a loyal customer and shareholder of Indigo, I apologise, will raise the issue of poor customer support with them. And lastly, Goa too has many places, South Goa, Baga, Anjuna you could have given it another shot, entirely different crowd. But yeah, not every place is Rishikesh, it's magical. However, I feel you'll like Kerala, and also suggest Himachal, Darjeeling, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Andaman! Have fun and keep him calm 😁

Very disheartened to hear about your experience.😢 As an Indian I can tell you that Indigo airlines is the worst airline provider. Even during domestic ✈️ flights, many Indians have faced such issues.
