Being "mature for your age" is not a compliment. It means children, usually girls, are forced to look out for themselves when adults won't do it and they're usually sexual1sed at an early age. It is not normal to have an ex boyfriend at 15, a 13 year old with a 2 year relationship with a 17 year old. I'm hearing adults making a lot of excuses for themselves particularly the parents.
@andream2110 Жыл бұрын

@FC-hj9ub so true. How can a 13 year old be "mature for their age?" They only just entered their teen years. This young woman had a 17 year old boyfriend at 13 undoubtedly it was sexual and her Mom encouraged it. Why is it no one blames the parent when she was not parenting? exactly! why we celebrate kids who have to skip childhood and assume adult rolls I will never understand. and someone can seem more grounded for their age too and intellectual but that DO NOT mean they are ready to be in a romantic or sexual relationship. that is a whole different skill set than reading Kafka. kids simply cannot be ready to have sex young maturity wise. you can't rush that. you can rush learning math not emotional development

If someone runs away from home and one of the items they take with them is a teddy bear, I don't think they are quite old enough to leave home. I would be fairly sure that they would be back rather soon. We had not been fighting but my husband wanted a break and he jokingly told me he was going to "run away from home" and he actually packed a suitcase and drove away. About two hours later he was back and when I asked him what happened, he rather sheepishly said, "I couldn't think of anywhere to go." And he was significantly older than 15. I haven't watched all of the video yet but I'm finding it rather curious that stepdad is the only one who has seen Jenna after she "ran away" and I am fairly certain that Jenna's mom will never see her again. I think she has made a fatal mistake in bringing this particular man into her daughter's life. We'll see.

He might’ve pretended from the beginning to be romantically interested in the mother just to get access to her daughter. Unfortunately, there are men like that out there. They pass on ladies with only boys or ladies without children in the home, but if she has a daughter they’ll pour on the charm and attention.

These piggs "groom" the idiotic mothers first in order to get access to the children. I've said it many, many times before: Single women, stop allowing random males (or females) into your home without KNOWING their past behaviours, relationships and insufferable bad habits BEFORE making a home together. ☝🏽🤨

It's very tragic indeed. However, this mother has a degree of direct responsibility. There was clearly extreme tension in this home, perhaps even abuse and yet the mother sided with her husband. And her negotiation with the murderer about possibly getting manslaughter rather than first degree murder also suggests that there was a side of her that wanted to "forgive" and "minimise" what he had done even though he murdered her biological daughter.

I guess that 99% of us, having heard the whole story, have the same idea of what caused Jenna to change and what she was about to reveal to her mother. There are several typical details - Jenna's beauty, the fact that she was very mature very early, her stepfather's unnaturally prolonged and explosive jealousy of her boyfriend, her wish to leave the house etc. Men with this type of pathology often choose women with children as partners, to be able to stay close, develop a relationship and groom the child. His own two daughters have at the time still not reached puberty, but they would've very probably been his next targets. Another tiny detail he invented reminded me of the patients I worked with, whose subconscious often spoke in symbols and archetypes, in order to verbally and emotionally distance themselves from their actions. In this case, it is the description of that non-existent mysterious girl who he "saw" with Jenna. She was high on drugs, she was behaving without any inhibitions and she is a redhead. For centuries, red hair was considered a sign of witchcraft, allure, sex appeal, deceit and female promiscuity, so in his description of Jenna's mysterious new friend, the girl's behaviour and her looks depict an unmistakable archetype of young immoral temptress who symbolically takes his step daughter away, never to be seen again. He has literally created a split between two Jennas: on one side is the young, innocent daughter, on the other is what he perceived her new, attractive, irresistible young female self to be - the part he was not able to withstand. I do hope that Desiree and her two daughters have been able to reconstruct their lives and find some closure and peace of mind.

The mothef is in denial. "Something" changed her daughter. How could she not see the wolf eyeing the spring chicken. She did not protect her daughter. Every little negative thing he told he about her flesh and blood, the mother accepted as fact. Those actions are why her daughter could not tell her the secret when she was in danger of a predator. Her mother was weak.
@Radhaaisch Жыл бұрын
I agree. This mother allowed (and even liked) the 17 year old boyfriend to hang out with Jenna because in some ways this boyfriend was a shield between the stepfather and Jenna protecting her. I believe the mother is not telling the truth because then people will question why she didn't confront this horrible man or protect her. There is more to this story. I feel the mother knew that this man stayed in marriage because he was able to abuse Jenna without consequences. She would never tell the truth because she wants the limelight on her for being a victim (poor mom mourning a child.) I am interested in psychology. Some women are so obsessed with being 'married' they will let anything slide.

I'll never understand how woman bring strange men into their lives around young daughters. He seemed too eager to want a daughter. In general it's a red flags men seeming desparate for an immediate family with young children. She starts acting up at age 14/15?? More red flags. From what I gather the secret was probably sexual abuse. No child just changes that quickly in behavior. If she didn't want to come home at all, then that is the secret she would of told. She was scared of him. If he done it to her, then if there was another young girl in the house then he would of done it to her. Predators done stop once they start. I hope the mother can one day find peace and find true happiness once again.

He probably sexually assaulted her. She told him she was going to reveal the secret, he killed her. Teenage minds are too delicate yet teenagers are so convinced they can do anything by themselves, as a result they make mistakes left and right that put their lived in grave dangers. Her only mistake was letting him know she was going to tell her mom, I am sure he is where he is supposed to be, jail.

I think both parents didn’t like Jenna growing up and getting out of their control. The mother jealous of now teenager Jenna’s beauty & Mike hating the boyfriend. The mother wearing revealing, low cut tops during an investigation of her daughter’s murder- so inappropriate. The step-fathers ease of lying & deception. I bet the mother knew Mike was sexually abusing Jenna over those years & couldn’t admit to herself that Mike only married her to get access to her little daughter.

Step fathers are 17 times more likely to abuse and murder steps daughters than natural fathers. Better for mom to wait to date until the daughter leaves home or else have the daughter live with Dad or grandparents. Step-fathers often view the stepdaughter as an annoyance, even if there is no abuse. Parents should work hard to save their relationship and get counseling, both personal and relationship. Very often both parties are rude and selfish, and if a neutral party helps them see themselves for who they are, they will want to grow and make amends.
