sorry, I don't understand, where is that 4% coming from? like 13% from Poaching, 2% from Hunter's Instinct, and the other 4% ..?:D Edit: ooooh I got it, 2% for each not injured survivor, damn, that's a lot!

The only thing that makes me mad about his adjusments is the breaking pallets with no stun if you dash into it 2 times. That thing is not just situational, but you need to fught dumb survivors to stun you WHILE dashing, instead of waiting a sec for the animation to end

Hmm, Nightmare is always dependent on early chase and Late game gate control, TBH, The first kites couldve used the pallets and long areas like in the Tourney Nightmare games, Nightmare is quite unusable. Although, so cool seeing people use their intense game knowledge to maximise the potential of a simple Character like Nightmare :)

They should've made revelation be either activated every ~20-30 secs automatically, or just after a pallet stun, maybe even make it work against any type of stun

the reason people find this as a general nerf is cause while yes his pouch got buffed his teleport which is a good part of his control got lowered, and the new thing they added to his dash is pointless and useless as the survivor would have to dumb to slam a pallet on your bird brain twice and you would have to be dumb to try and dash though a pallet as well, the 50 to 55 seconds is not as bad as 50 to 57 seconds, even with a good early game they can still be chased and not get rewarded

Nightmare is such a cool looking hunter and yet hes just so weak, I wish he was stronger, he does require alot of skill in higher tiers

As a Nightmare main, this patch's changes were... quite alright. -The stat changes are always welcome, though I'd rather have less reasons to look at the ground than I already have (including ending chase, getting speed, crying, crying). Overall they don't pull him out of the dumpster, but they're nice nonetheless. -The Bad Omen nerf was... frankly uneeded. Nightmare already had the longest cooldown among any similar teleport abilities, and while his endgame can be scary the nerf hurts is mid-game more than anything else. Still think it doesn't make the overall list a nerf, though. -The Revelation effect... is pretty bad. As seen in the replays, good players will either pre-drop pallets or just not get hit, because Dive sucks at hitting pallet campers due to its auto-aim. The effect itself is really good, but for it to trigger reliably you need to angle the dives in such a way... at that point just release the Dive and use the normal attack, it's more than good for getting under pallet hits. If they wanted Revelation to be as effective as hoped, then Dive needs to become a good ability around undropped pallets (which it currently is not). Overall it was a nice update, but it really didn't hit the issues that the character actually has. I'd love to see more changes like lower attack/stun recovery, faster early lock-on (seriously, why does it take so long to charge a sidegrade ability) and more control over the Dive's trajectory (like the Disciple's jumps), but I'm afraid Nightmare will have to wait quite a while before another adjustment...

Oh hey, I think that's my comment on the thumbnail! The "I think his nerf is a little too harsh" one I just played 5 nightmare games in rank today and.. in all of them I got demolished and the third one in particular was so bad it lasted 19 minutes because the survivors just didn't want to go but harass me, I ended up getting a tie but that felt like rock bottom on my moral lol...

Poaching and Pallet breaking were definitely the biggest buff he got from this patch, since they directly help his chase. Revelation is pretty useless in the majority of your games, but when you do get it, its actually really good. Its a shame, really. Edit: Honestly, someone in a server put it best when they said it felt like trying to get a deduction finished. Like, one of those really hard character deductions.

Issue is, the teleport nerf undoes the good that the poaching buff and pallet break buff do. Also revelation gets almost 0 use which is quite stupid they really should change this to every time you mark a survivor or every time you teleport just so I can actually use it in my games

Feels cheap, if it had to be obtained by other way it should be by using the charged attack and landing a hit that way obtaining revelation isnt easy.

"Revelation" effect just doesn't work, I even tried to trigger this skill in custom mode, and nothing, it probably just doesn't work or they just didn't add it, but the patch notes say they added it, I don't understand, Or in real game situations it is so impossible to implement that it is impossible to even see, I have never seen it work with my own eyes, not in the game or on the Internet

It's because they want to keep the "Poaching" effect active for a movement speed boost. They do this as a loophole to chase survivors while retaining the "Poaching" effect. If "Nightmare's" camera is on a survivor, the "Poaching" effect will be removed as it will be removed if the game detects that "Nightmare" is chasing a survivor. Hunter players have been doing that since Hunter's Instinct is introduced years ago, and the code for it is reused for "Nightmare's" Poaching but with different conditions.

I dont know why it feels like a lot of people don't want to accept his buff hasn't really benefited him. He gets stuck as easily as breaking wheel, he lost map pressure, which was what would help him win games, and his gameplay still looks bad cause u have to look at the ground to keep his buff. And what is worse is that I doubt they will revery his nerf or buff him again

Ive been saying this. The only thing with revelation is that revelation just means now you dont need to think. You can just be super aggressive instead of needing to gamble on a fifty fifty. Its not useless just a different playstyle.

I guess someone doesn't understand how nightmare works to think that he can just walk up to a pallet thats not dropped and expect the survivor to wait there to stun the hunter well tough news thats not how it works in peak tier not in Na/Eu nor in other servers because predropping pallets is a thing. Just be better and stop with the pointless opinions and takes on what you have little experience on.

@@RexZBeq Why are we being so aggressive over an opinion, secondly if it doesnt happen then its a free hit since its still a lost mind game. If they do then revelation. Survivors cant always transition without dropping a pallet(which now with max pallet break you break like a madeyes), or going for a pallet stun, its not something that you control, but its not useless.

@@ZeusIDVif thats the case you somehow messed up ur routes because in no way u should be in that position against nightmare even if he does have max pallet breaking then you should focus on stalling before 1st down between dying corner is going full windows kite with pallets as way to disturb nightmares dash and lets not forget about items if you got forced to use items against nightmare early then that already explains the 1st mistake
