I live in a nice subdivision with an HOA (unfortunately), yet neighbors have dumped discarded lawn furniture, lumber, trash, etc., at the back of our property. Our lot is big and they just toss it over the fence. It's infuriating.

Oh you guys are not the only ones who clean up vines! Just about every mowing channel that I watch has more than enough vines! Even some channels who are in the UK and Australia have vines. On several I comment on vines being my favorite part of the clean up. You are right, it looks so good when you rip them down! This was an exciting one with the wreck. Stay safe.

I watch some guys in Michigan and they complain about the vines there also. Considering you are in the south, at least the vines you are dealing with are not Kudzu.

Have you ever looked at a map of where Kudzu grows in the US? Every single southern state from Florida over to Texas, up to NY and over to Nebraska has kudzu growing. Michigan has a small amount of Kudzu compared to states like Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, and Louisiana. I use to live in SW Virginia and have seen Kudzu take over houses! It completely covers trees, and kills them out. It's like leprosy to a forest. The south has a bunch of Kudzu. It was specifically brought to the South in the 1930's to keep erosion down, and it backfired.

*DAD* I have watched you and your boys for months now, giving up your time and energy to help people and I think it's awesome what you do. Those boys are a real credit to you, and I think that they should be rewarded for all their effort and what they have done - apart from the good feeling they get from doing it. It must be difficult sometimes though, when their friends get to go and do things, while they have the responsibility of helping you, which you can of course understand - we all remember being young. May I suggest that one day when they are supposed to be going doing yard work, that instead you treat them to a fun day at a water park, or a day at the beach, or a theme park, or even a weekend away at a resort. You could pack their swim suits and stuff, and say you will be meeting up with some other KZbinr and using their stuff, which is why you are not taking your mower and other gardening equipment, so they don't get suspicious. I am sure they would enjoy it and you could let them know how much you appreciate all their efforts, even though doing good isn't always rewarded, this time it has been.

Glad you were keeping tabs on the accident. The first thing you had already started on was the traffic visibility. Like seeing the yard put in more order. It is on a road with a lot of traffic. Probably has been disheartening to the neighbors and cleaned-up, will also be reducing rodent tendencies and bugs. Nice the neighbors were trying to help with yard work, for safety, etc. Looks like you are finding the walkways. It is a bit of humor that their lawnmower apparently died in active service. Quite a cycle getting a volunteer plant out of the landscape plant in front. Many thanks to the small engine shop owner for giving you a safe place to park. (Is there any bit of roadside mowing you can do to help them out too? ) You all made a nice change for the area. Looking forward to Part 2.
