@@shelleyharris4176 It takes forever to start services. I worked at the almighty Walter reed hospital on active duty and it still took 3 months before I started seeing a mental health doctor. Veterans are treated like 3rd rate citizens but the Republican Party. Any bill that helps veterans is delayed and watered down by them. So if it took me 3 months for help, I’d imagine a veteran has to wait longer. So long I’m sure they gave up.

I lost my father at age ten. He was killed in a trucking accident and was crushed. At the funeral, everyone told me this. One aunt actually told me that he was stuffed. I was horrified and completely shut down and never grieved. My parents were divorced so my mother wasn’t allowed to attend the funeral with me. She had to wait outside in the car. I became super shy after the funeral and my mother never spoke of him after that. Seven years later when my grandmother died, I had a total breakdown and cried for a month. I was crying for my father and not really for my grandmother. No one in my family offered support or help. So I finally started therapy in my thirties after my mother died of breast cancer. Therapy was extremely difficult but my therapist was my guardian angel and helped me understand grief and myself. God bless you for sharing your story.

My daughter and son-in-law both work in mental healthcare. They are amazing and passionate people ❤️ . Gardening and yard work has always been my passion and mental therapy. Love watching you help others with their yards to give them a more safe, healthy and less stressful environment. 😊

It’s hard to believe that his neighbors wouldn’t help maintain his yard. Thank God for men like you & KZbin

One house i lived in, the neighbors didnt have any grass on their property, except for the strip out the front. So when i was doing the lawns out back and doing my nature strips, always did hers. Never had to by biscuits while living there, they just miraculously appeared on my front door!

The neighbours might not have time maybe working two jobs, they don’t have the right equipment or dare not risk the equipment they have on this mess. You just can’t make judgments on any situation. But the Stockman is an angel no doubt ❤

How can neighbors be so thoughtless when they're right there next door??!! Shame on them!!

Why blame or judge the neighbors 🤷🏼♀️ You don’t know their situation either!

@pcodignoni9344 You never know. Everyone is busy. This guy doing the work has professional tools and is paid by the media to take two full days to do all this stuff. Who if us has a trailer and the time to go to the dump multiple times and a powerful mower to plow through huge weeds? I got a dinky mower for grass that's just a week too tall, not 4 years too tall. And an electric weedeater for polite and tender weeds. No. This was a job for industrial tools.

It never ceases to amaze me how caring of a person you are. You are particular in your work and as a perfectionist (which sometimes is too much and unnecessary, lol) it does my heart good to see your work. I dislike the fact that people leave their vehicles right where you have to work though. When they see you trying to cut the grass and do the edging, why can't they take a minute to move their vehicles to give you space to work, unless they're hoping you'll damage their vehicles and try to sue you. I hope that's not the case. Bless you and your family for what you do. Also, I'm glad that you were able to seek help and feel better now. We all carry some form of trauma, or intense events in our lives and glad you were able to come out the other side, in a better place.

My dear friend I am sure your dad is looking down at you from heaven is absolutely proud of you. You are absolutely a blessing to your community. The yard you just completed looks totally different. May God bless you, your family and all that you help.

Thanks for sharing your story, Sean. Childhood trauma needs to be dealt with, which I know from personal experience. This yard now looks amazing. I'm glad you found this man to help. God bless and keep you always.

Great new look. May want to rethink about mowing high grass with trash around the house first. Whipping it would give you a clear view and a SAFE PASSAGEWAY for your one and only mower.

As a USN veteran back in Reagan' times, I wanted to thank you for aiding this man. No coincidence that God put you at his doorstep that very day. Lovely transformation for him, for the neighborhood. Hoping maybe you inspired some hearts to help him should he need it again. God bless.

I wish the neighbors would get together and paint his house. This is such an easy house to paint and they could make it look so cute for him.

I mostly see lawn care videos, but I came across 3 brothers in Canada who go around and do free gutters and roofs. It would be nice to see some that do free house painting. :)

Some may offer, but Sean say it's easier to work alone, some may help but not want to be on camera, some are just too poorly or depressed to be able to get out at all - We never see the whole story

Thank you for helping others. We never know what someone is going through. You probably gave this veteran a boost that he needed. I am so sorry that you lost your father at such a young age. I am glad to see the great relationship that you have with your father-in-law.
