Haunted is a series that takes a look at spooky locations across the world. In this episode, we explore England’s Ettington Park Hotel. This series was inspired by the fantastic History Goes Bump podcast. It’s one of my favourites to listen to and a must for anyone who likes ghost stories.

OH! I am excited. Born and raise in Minnesota. A movie came out on TV, The Haunting, 5 years after it was made. At 14 years old it terrified me. But it also left a hook. In the 90's it was made into VHS. I still have it, but fear, being in that format it should be in DVD form to last. AS part of Halloween this year(2019). Movies for Halloween, it was listed. By the way so far the only version worth the title. 1999 was overboard and left you with out creativity to explore, your minds version. I was happy the house was restored. And now all those years later I can have a chance to see(In hotel style) "the haunting of hill house" .Floors are firm, and who ever walks them, walks alone. Never have I been to the Mother country, to say Thank You , Glorious England. Here I come Ettington Park may I grace your floors in wonder, and feel that draft as it touches my cheek. This is all the reply's. Shame! Yes by today's standards it is not a now day horror movie. That's is why I think, we lost the ability to let the mind fill in the pieces. (blanks). Thank You for allowing my mind to fill in the music of that 1963 movie. Thanks Nightmares before Bedtime. Now my dreams will walk me thru "Hill House". Finally, I'll walk those shiney floors, that are firm, and now their mineeee.................

Stayed here one night in '17 while traveling through England. I was told to expect paranormal activity, but experienced nothing. It's quite a charming place to stay actually. However...I kind of got the chills halfway through watching this video with the anecdote about the toad discovered in the bottle within the old walls. I distinctly remember on the morning I left, I was amused to see a rather large toad smack in the middle of the gravel drive in the front of the main entrance. It hopped alongside me for a bit as I walked to my car. I even took its picture, lol.

I’ve stayed there few times. Think the staff are in on it to be honest. I caught a couple of staff running up the corridors moving pictures etc and there’s a porter there who starts shouting in the early hours

I used to go clubbing here in the 1970's and riding at Ettington Park Stables in the 1990s. It has always been reputedly haunted, but til now, I wasn't sure why. Beautiful place. Thank you for the video.

I also went there in 1978 to the nightclub in the main house and later to the nightclub in the stables which always filled up with smoke from.the fire. Definitely haunted I dated a barmaid who stayed overnight at the hotel. Loads of stories.

I love your videos! Also I think that it would really help with engagement and form a strong connection with your subscribers if you filmed yourself telling these stories and allowing the viewers to see what you look like! It could be really cool and especially if you got a cool scary background! But also I get why you might not want to do that lol

To be honest with you I usually don't like it when we see the narrator . I prefer documentary style . On some channels all you see constantly is the narrator and it becomes all about them and look at me me me . Some of them are rather narcissistic and look like they are flirting with the camera . I could see maybe the person showing their face a little bit in the very beginning and maybe again in the very end as an introduction and an ending but I really can't stomach when a person is all throughout a video . ... same thing when it's a travel vid and they are inserted into every place and every shot . I know that's become the style here on KZbin but we do have a lot of narcissistic people who don't even know that they are . We live in a day and age where even a woman posing provocatively around her dad's open casket and putting it all over her Instagram outraged a lot of people and she still couldn't understand what she had done wrong because she is that out of touch . She still couldn't understand why people were disgusted even after they tried to explain it to her . Or just like the woman dancing in the hospital room next to the bed where her child was seriously ill and I think the child was even in a coma but there she was making it all about herself .

@@gardensofthegods I liked it, very old traditional feel about it. It is also near to Shakespeare's Stratford-Upon-Avon. I think I would there stay again when I get the chance.
