My all-time favorite band! I attended at least 20 of their concerts over the years. They welcomed me like a family member. So kind, gracious and real. I would give almost anything to see and hear them again.

Something Of Time was one of the best albums, of any style of music, in the 80s.

The Cricket’s Wicket is my life song…with it came an introduction to my wife and, with her, life. I am old now but still I remember this song and these wonderful musicians. Thank you for posting.

Unbelievable! I recorded a short snippet of an anonymous (at the time) instrumental song from an fm radio broadcast in 1989, on a boom box in my bedroom. I've had that cassette tape with half a song on it ever since; indeed, that little gem, with its beautiful arrangement of voices doing musical ballet, was the blueprint for my entire New Age Metal musical career; I was inspired, "Yeah, this... but with drums and lead guitar!" and that's the way it went. Although I had heard of Nightnoise during the past three decades, being at heart an acoustic composer and huge fan of the genre, I did not know the mystery piece with the violin/flute dance that was literally the compass for my musical life was Timewinds until TODAY! (True story, I e-mailed fellow Windham Hiller Darol Anger, included it as an attachment, and asked if he knew who the group was, but evidently Macs don't like Windows Media files, so 'twas for naught.) What a truly inspirational group of talented musicians, forging an entirely unique and timeless facet of the New Age genre that resonates as strongly as ever. Thank you so much for posting. Too bad some of the performance was cut out at 59:46.

For me this this first complete line up with Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill, Mícheál Ó Domhnaill, Brian Dunning and Billy Oskay was sublime. The later line ups were good, but not this amazing. Very sad to think most of them have passed away already, way way too soon :|
