Rip little man. I can't imagine how Daryls parents feel. They are very much drawn to water, it's sensory related, they like the sounds, the touch, the smell etc. My son absolutely loves playing in water but hates having a bath or shower. This is my worst nightmare. I carry the house keys in my pocket and have removed all the window handles that are within reach of my 2 little ones. It's so hard, you can't take your eyes of them for 2 seconds.

I feel your strength in your writing. Yes. I have taken care of cognitively declining adults and let me tell you, they can take off like the wind the minute you turn your head. Taking care of people with challenges requires so much from the care person. You are always ‘on.’ I am amazed at your strength and dedication to your family. Take care.
