Been in the test play three times now, plays like shit. They have a LONG way to go if this is going to be any good. I personally want at least 120 fps on my high end PC, zero stutter or lag (not gonna happen with always online) and modern graphical techniques (like ray tracing) but they won't. This game is going to end up playing and looking worse than Session.

Yea if you think back to the thps games you could change your body size and hand + feet size calves size height board size and wheel size and truck size a bit especially when the thug pro mod came out but if we’re able to do more like the amount of tattoos jewelry etc and hair hanging out of hats and all kinda customizations for griptape boards and just everything

I'm on your side, there should be realistic characters and maybe a few funny extras. However, the main focus should be on the realistic aspects. I also like having enough creation options so that I can create myself! The decks look really good too! And stickers

they need to add the ability to create your own skate park like for example in tony hawks you were able to create a skate park with bunch of elements and post it online. they can give us the ability do to something like that where you can create one and grind with your online personal friend that can be dope

It’s not going to be fun playing with friends when everyone can do insane tricks easily. If session was online and someone did really hard lines in a couple tries, it would be impressive and a lot more gratifying for the person doing it.

Did you ever play skate 3..? The tricks were never super hard in that game but it was the most popular of the series. It was more about the fun in other aspects rather than learning ridiculously hard tricks

Also, I feel like they’ve had an alpha play test build for over a year at this point (maybe 18 months?) and the game looks exactly the same. Models still look blocky, world still has no sense of design or texture, and there’s still no sense of gravity.

They dipped ab it into that with the shoes, which appear to be some kind of final / stylized pass. They aren't going to release it without texturing the world. The game is still being actively developed, and you can see the art getting closer and closer with every one of these vids. I imagine it will look pretty good by the time it releases, but hey we'll see

Pre, pre game clip take: It looks like they are addressing all of the issues that we have been having issues with as far as visuals are concerned. I'm excited for that side of the coin. Pre, pre game play clip take: It looks smooth and solid so again I'm excited about that as well. I have to say In general Skate 4 is something to look forward to. I also have to add that I won't get too excited because Skate games in the past have ended up being a let down and/or haven't had the customization option that we all want. Also Skate controls and feels have been lack luster in the past as well. Thanks for the clip and here's to Skate developers getting it out there and going ready and it there for consumption and hopefully pushing the limits of skate game playing. 👍
