My “babies “ are now in their 40’s but I sure do remember those early weeks of no sleep. By some miraculous gift from God both my babies were wonderful sleepers. Sleeping through the night at 4 months old! Cannot begin to imagine how to do it with twins!!!

You are doing great! I’m a mom of three (no twins) but they are already 8, 11 and 13 so the time of night feeds are long gone 😅. But I remember that period very well and it is not easy. Especially when you have to pump and feed bottles (I did the same). And I had only one baby at a time 😅. I love your videos! Love from Belgium 😊

Hi, can you please share the details for the pillows you used for the twins feed right after bath? The single lounger type ones
@snjesse6911 ай бұрын
FTM here, 29 weeks with fraternal twins.... When you feed them on the twin-z boppy pillow, you don't have to elevate their heads slightly while feeding?? I feel like it would cause more GERD eating while laying down, but I have 0 clue with babies
@JenMomlife11 ай бұрын
not sure, to be honest, but we always hold Nick upright after feeding for 20 min or so, and burp him well, since he is the one with bad reflux, while Alex is fine - we just burp them after feedings.

@@JenMomlife so I’m actually a licensed Speech language pathologist but I’ve only worked with adults…… I have a friend who’s a pediatric speech language pathologist, who specializes in newborn feedings. I’m going to ask her about it, I’m genuinely curious. I see so many people bottle feeding babies while they’re laying down, but We tell our older geriatric patients to always have your head elevated at a 45 degree angle, never complete flat…… Is he still having reflux?

These don;t leak for me, so I'd recommend them and I hope they will help you.

@@JenMomlifebf is a fulltime job. It decreases after 3 months if the baby latches properly. Pumping never got me the same amount of milk, even though I was able to bf my son and provide 75% for preemie twins. I could have gotten more but pumping takes a lot longer than just bf. It wasnt posdible to pump even mire since I had 2 older ones too.
@JenMomlife Жыл бұрын
thank you, this is helpful to know! So you had twins while also breastfeeding your son? is that correct?@@samu6874
@samu6874 Жыл бұрын
@@JenMomlife my sister had preemie twins I pumped for while I breastfed my son. People are built different. But as you discovered: eating and drinking is key. I had 5 meals a day. Meals not snacks. I snacked on olives, almonds and feta while feeding and pumping. It helped to train my body on specific times for pumping. I pumped with my hand not electric bc I was able to trigger the milk ejecting reflex much faster. Having my son skin to skin and hydrate before made it easier too.Fennel anise caraway tea helps building milk too.
