The blessing for me now is the time I get to spend with my g’children and I cherish each moment I spend with them! Children are the greatest treasure 🎁 God gives us. I love how intentional you are in your marriage, in your parenting, in your walk with God. It’s so encouraging to see. My baby just turned 1 and I battled PPD for the first 9 months of her life. Before pregnancy I was so intentional in spending time in the word each day. Granted, a lot of what contributed to my PPD was circumstantial- new town, new community, new church, new to ministry, but I can’t help but think if I had been more intentional in spending time with the Lord if I would have battled PPD as bad as I did. Thank you for sharing your new routine.

I don't usually comment and I know a random stranger's comment doesn't mean much when you've gone through something so hard as PPD. I know you know this, but I just wanted to say that I hope you are doing better now and I hope you know that depression is never your own fault, and especially in such a vulnerable time as postpartum. Our bodies and hormones are unpredictable and uncontrollable, it's insane! I'm not even religious and even I can see that God and your faith must have given you strength in those times and He helped you get through to the other side! You are so strong for that and I wish all the best to your little family ❤

You are up and about way more than I was after I had mine three months ago. I think that is amazing. People don't realize how much better babies sleep when co-sleeping. How sweet Annabeth is all swaddled up. I love how much the kids enjoy holding her and being with her. That is good you are off social media. I found myself on the phone way more while nursing than I ever had been, and now I am doing less of that, and way more reading of books. Your postpartum body looks amazing already. I am struggling to get rid of my last 13 pounds still and I never had this struggle. . but I am 39 and so I think age has a factor compared to when I gave birth at 25. You are doing great!

Hi Delilah! Beautiful video! I am also a co-sleeping mama, and have done so with both my babies (youngest is 5 months now and we've been doing it since day 1!) I've been following the ''Safe Sleep 7'' and have read Dr McKenna about safely co-sleeping, and I just wanted to share for you or your viewers, that it isn't recommended to swaddle a baby when co-sleeping. Same for placing a blanket on them (even just on their legs), basically you want to tuck the blanket/duvet back under your legs. Just in case anyone is interested in co-sleeping but aren't sure about the safest way to do so!
@GardensOfChina Жыл бұрын
I love Delilah and everything is beautiful in this video but yes this was a bit scary to see. Also the little cushion thing that they put in the bassinet is not sleep safe either. I am sure that the blanket around the first swaddle is something related to Canadian weather but I wonder if anyone uses sleepbags like in UK. Otherwise I am a loyal subscriber and love her educational style

You’re such an inspiration. I’m pregnant with #8 and I try hard to enjoy the newborn baby stages (my favourite stage!!), but I am prone to the distraction of my phone far too often and forgetting my Bible reading, and also trying to find time for my other kids. You have really inspired me to put my phone down, be intentional and present, because it does go so so fast! My eldest is about to turn 16 and I can’t believe it! One thing I did with my last baby which I will do again, is I rested and only cared for myself and baby for a couple weeks. I didn’t do much at all around the house and I loved it. But only works when you have support - older kids helped a lot, my husband helped a lot, and meals from others were a God send!!

I never had children. Am I regretting it now? Don't quite know. But, lately, for whatever reason, "newborn" videos and videos like this one have found their way into my KZbin feed. I never cared for children, but through these videos I find these babies to be so absolutely precious. I'm amazed at my fairer gender and their capabilities of being multitaskers when having a baby let alone more than one baby! The saying that being a mother is the hardest task there is, is so true. My mother had 12 children and yet managed to feed us all, keep us clean and kept a very tidy house. How did she do it?? At her 80th birthday bash, along with some of her friends, she too commented, that they also were in awe of the strength and stamina they had "back in the day" in raising so many children. Kudos to you moms out there. And mom, may you rest in peace.
