Hey everyone!
(Watch in HD!!)
This is my nighttime wash and go featuring the banding technique! I usually do nighttime wash and go's because I can't go to work with wet hair and it cuts down on the time it takes me to get ready in the morning.
Doing this with wet hair keeps your hair in a stretched, curly state. I found that doing this dried my hair faster than usual. I also do a technique called oil rinsing that keeps the frizz to a minimum in my hair. In the video, I oil rinsed my hair prior to banding it, you DON'T have to in order to get the same results. You can cowash, wash it with shampoo, or whatever you normally do for a wash and go.
When finished, I just wait an hour or so before putting on my bonnet and going to sleep. In the morning, all I do is spray some oil on my scalp and take out the bands carefully. That is it!
I do put a lot of product in my hair initially however, doing this allows me to hair super moisturized hair for a while: I don't really add in more moisturizer until day 4 or 5.
Please like, comment, and subscribe to my channel if you haven't already. If you have, please share this video for all to see! Do not hesitate to ask me questions!
Have a wonderful day 😊

For frizz prone girls & flat hair, trying doing the banding method with 100% dry hair, small sections, and give the bands space while leaving your ends alone. Results- Stretched, dry, big, defined, not crunchy, wash & go

Awesome! Thank you! I love a nighttime wash n go idea! I've put off trying the wash n go because I can't do it in the morning and deal with the drying process. I love doing my hair before bed!

I appreciate this....your results were beautiful! Gonna try this out as I have 3c hair in the back and 4a everywhere else and am not able to achieve a wash n go because the curls in the back are so loose in and they hang way longer than the curls everywhere else....lol...smh! I think this technique will make the pattern look more consistent all the way around.

The Curly Scientist Tried it out and it was a success on my 4a hair....and a fail on my 3c hair in the back as it hung low and was almost straight. Lol.....oh well, at least I tried. =)

Hey Hun, is your hair usually dry in the morning after doing this? I want to try this this week. I'm 4a/4b and Im positive it will work and be my fix to the lengthy WNG process.
@TheCurlyScientist
@TheCurlyScientist 9 жыл бұрын
Yup! If you're worried about it not drying in time, towel dry your hair before you add in products. This helps cut down on the drying time.
