I don't think he was showing off or trying to flirt. He was just doing his own thing. He is used to being a solo hero in Bludhaven and is being inconsiderate of the team, Batgirl included. She was calling him out for bad teamwork and he basically just didn't care. Though it seems he impressed her with his skills a little, nevertheless. That didn't override her initial anger completely though. I really like the writing, despite this being a comedy. The characters all feel well thought out.

He's typically half Dick and half Tim Drake because Tim is kind of universally agreed to be the best Robin (both in universe and IRL). Hacking, genius intellect, using a bo staff, superior detective work, founding Young Justice, defeating the League of Assassins, flawless disguises, and being able to lie to Batman without being caught are all Tim Drake. The Robin from the original Batman animated series is Tim Drake. BTW have you read the comics? There are only four main Robins (Robin 4 Stephanie Brown isn't Batman's kid, was only Robin very briefly, and is better known as Spoiler so I'm not counting her here.). Each are unique and interesting in their own ways not to mention their relationships with each other as a family. It's no different than how movies usually butcher great books, video games, anime, etc because they don't have the love and respect for the source material they should or just plain didn't read it.

Gtfo Creating the Robin Mantle and name itself, relying on his physical attributes such as his skill, speed and intellect before Tim came along and writers were scrambling to something with him, theu dumbed everyone down just for him unfairly because he was so bland and with the other 2 Robins being known for something, they had to ask themselves "What can we do this guy that can be his own?" ultimately, it was only the pants and being such a trash fighter compared to the others that he has to rely on a bo-staff. Detective schtick was always Grayson's first even as Robin, and still is to this day aside from certain popular media, intellect in general still belongs to Grayson as if you read his comics, he's always constantly planning through which arguably makes him smarter than someone planning ahead. He's mixed between jumping head-in first and planning ahead aka Titans annual forgot the rest but you can find it, where he disguises as an old man so well that even Jason doesn't recognize him and pickpockets him so greatly that he doesn't realize his bullets are gone. Jason todd btw, just so ya know, Jason ISN'T an idiot, he's definitely one of the best in the family when it comes to battle strategy. Heck, even book smarts he's not slow in.

Flawless disguises is a given in the Batfamily, Hacking is Batfamily 101 but Hacking goes to Barbara before Tim anyway and even Grayson so try better. Genius intelligence? Have you read a Batfamily comic book at all?? The Robin from the original Batman: animated series is Dick grayson, tf you mean?? His personality, his look and his charisma, all Grayson traits. 99% of Dick graysons is all pure Dick grayson with pants being just a modern look by the writers and artists since many crybabies complained. Why don't anyone call the others Grayson cuz they want HIS name and look up to him? Using the pants logic is countered by it's own logic as he was ROBIN first and made it, they inherit it after him so they're all him anyway.

In the 80s, he was a Detective fanatic freakazoid before they nerfed him to make Tim look better, and who ruined everything for his friends and himself cuz he couldn't shut it off. A Teen titans scene where the Titans talk about how he always keep solving mysteries from Scooby doo first... He was emo too, always serious and always brutal and badass. Smearing his logo on a guy's chest from his own blood, how emo is that?? 😂 He's skilled, often earning praise for his combat skills from even Deathstroke, Shiva and Richard dragon themselves, not many have gotten these guys to call them amazing. @@decacado4474 Dick and his family are Romani. The people that used to be called “Gypsy’s” before it was deemed offensive. Dick has been called ‘Gypsy’ from literally all the way back to his first appearances in the comics in the early 1940s. Some writers over the years have chosen to ignore it. Others don’t even realise it. But it’s something that has been brought up a lot over the decades. There was one retelling where it was implied Tony Zucco killed his parents not just because the travelling Circus owed him money, but also as a hate crime against the Grayson’s. Both the Falcone and Maroni Crime Families explained the reason Zucco was never respected by them is because he was a vicious racist. In some of Nightwing’s own comics he’s been shown to speak fluent Romani to others, and there have at least been several occasions where a villain in the Batman comic has referred to Grayson as “you people” which obviously always makes him angry. …and in case you didn’t know…people of Romani descent have slightly darker skin than normal people. They’re not Black or Brown, but you can easily tell they have Persian and North African blood going far back. If you want to know what Dick Grayson should really look like, look up the Gotham Knights video game. The game is terrible, but they did a very good job at depicting him. Especially when he is plain clothes and stood next to the other Knights.
