I'm actually on Batman's side on this. It's not his responsibility to take someone's life. If the court system wants to put them to death then that's the court system's decision. Hell what stops say a random cop from shooting Joker a few times in the chest because he was "afraid for his life". People blame Batman and I don't see why. He's not responsible for others actions. Blame the system that seems to allow these people to go free and continue to do what they do.

yeah when he decided to level metropolis and gotham his actions became unsupportable, but until then he was fine and reasonable. the writers needed to make sure people didnt sympathize too hard with superman, but his philosophy makes alot of sense in the context that he and other super heroes have access to power that normal humans don't, but forces of destruction and chaos equal to them threaten the world. is ridiculous that an insane but normal human being like the joker was able to do so much harm when people like green lantern, flash, and superman are running around, but superman saw that if you give the forces of evil enough tries they will eventually win. and thats just with the joker, some human being. when you look at forces like darkseid, or brainiac, or doomsday, they will keep trying to beat the heroes unless a permanent solution is found, or else one day they will win, and they WONT be as merciful as the heroes were and the heroes won't get second chances to win since losing just once could mean the destruction of everything and everyone in this context our real first world morality system may very well be insufficient to properly address the stakes in play in these comic book universes and in that context i find the general thought process behind superman to be very understandable...though of course the writers make him take it to extremes to make utterly clear that he is the bad guy.

I gotta say even though I am on Batman's side I do understand why Superman did what he did now. Some criminals won't stop killing and he thought since the system kept letting them free that they should be put down before they hurt other people. However, as the last game showed he wasn't above destroying cities just because most of the people didn't want to be governed in their every day lives because of a mistake Superman himself made. I don't agree with Batman's no killing rule and giving Harley another chance, but at least he won't kill his own teammates or innocent people. However, I really wonder if it's Superman or Wonder Woman that is the mastermind behind the regime at this point because Wonder Woman not only fed his madness, but manipulated Superman into becoming the biggest dictator in the DC Universe.

Hey Super, just wanted to let you know that The Nightwing staff is indeed an equippable ability for Robin. I don't have it myself, but playing Multiverse I encountered a Robin that had his character trait be swapping between the sword and staff. So if it was in the multiverse like that, I doubt it's unobtainable.

Can we seriously just get the writers of this in charge of the actual DC movie continuity? Jesus. But honestly on the question on whether or not bat or supes isn't really the right one. There obviously does need to be more order, and punishment for the criminal, the regime brought that. But absolute power corrupts absolutely, so there while there does need to be more power there also needs to be checks to prevent the heroes from being the judge, jury, and executioner. First thing the Regime should have done is built a super prison, preferably in space where they keep the super criminals. Put your best space guys and technical guys up there. To defend it with a defense system design by Wayne enterprises and Queen Industries. Give some of the lesser criminal opportunities to redeem themselves, with real therapy to help them cope with issues. Now some of you may say, "well that is basically Arkham in space" and while that may be true, I don't think most of the criminals have the resources to organize and method of escape, let alone survive the vacuum of space. With the super criminals taken care of the heroes could use their ridiculous powers for vast gathering of resources in order to create the proper infrastructure to support their power and ensure the well being of the citizens. We saw it a bit in both games. Somehow Superman was able to create many structure, a universal army and police force in a short amount of time who were all armed to the teeth. With defense taken care of they could literally rebuild the world however they wanted, without killing and without putting everyone in harms way. Batman, despite all of his badassery is far too lenient. Superman was far too harsh. Meet in the middle.
