The only thing wrong with this song is that it's too short. It's a funny thing about Marko. He can be singing a sweet little ballad, or screaming at the top of his lungs, but listening to him always brings me joy and comfort. he is such a great musician. Plus, in this song, I have never heard anyone use an ebow the way Troy does. Great reaction to a hauntingly beautiful song. Tuomas' ode to innocent first love. The lyrics are so poignant. Marko's voice is so sweet and vulnerable here. Very emotional and then Floor's harmonies. Ugh the feels hit me. I like how you say this makes you thoughtful. For me, this song takes me back to my 17 year old self so long ago. Getting ready on a Saturday night to go out with friends. Hoping to meet that special girl I can fall in love with and share my most authentic self with. One of my favorite songs with Marko in the lead second only to Endlessness.

This is probably my favourite Marko song along with "the phantom". In that one he sounds badass and demonic AF, here he sounds so sincear and sensitive, like he's singing to a loved one and it's impossible to not feel it. Funny enough, when i first started listening to NW i wasn't that keen on his voice but it really grew on me and now i'm kinda bummed that i didn't get a chance to see them live with him. Like everyone in the NW army says, him and Floor singing together was a match made in heaven.

This song owns a special place in my heart ❤, especially the message behind it. Also, Floor's backing vocals and Troy's E-bow magic made this performance even more beautiful... Although, "While Your Lips Are Still Red" is not an official Nightwish track. Tuomas created this song for a Finnish movie called "The Matriarch". Holopainen has stated that he is not comfortable with releasing any material under his own name. The Nightwish website clearly states that the song was written by Tuomas Holopainen and features him on keyboards, Marko Hietala on vocals and Jukka Nevalainen on drums. I'm lucky enough that when I met him, I told him that his voice should be on the Unesco World Heritage list, and he told me that for once, HE was speechless. An the he hugged me, so tight. I've said this before, but try Marko's very personal solo song _Voice_ _of_ _my_ _Father:_ ideally do a double with the English version first so you know what it's about, then the Finnish version _(Isäni_ _ääni)_ to hear how he sings it in his native language. I'd like to request a SPECIAL song that Floor sang in 2020 for the nonprofit called War Child that helps children affected by war. In view of the tragedies against children in Ukraine, Gaza (and many other places) it would be a good song to keep these victims in our hearts and prayers.
