Translation for the Native American poem at the end "I still dream every night Of them wolves, them mustangs, those endless prairies The restless winds over mountaintops The unspoilt frontier of my kith n'kin The hallowed land of the Great Spirit I still believe In every night In every day I am like the caribou And you like the wolves that make me stronger We never owed you anything Our only debt is one life for our Mother It was a good day to chant this song For Her Our spirit was here long before you Long before us And long will it be after your pride brings you to your end "

First time I heard this song was in a Cabaret club (not a strip club to be clear). The girl who performed on this very song just hypnotized the whole place for the duration. It was so different from every other performances I saw that night it was jaw dropping. As I was watching, I was experiencing all kinds of feelings that I've never felt while watching this form of art. I have a very selective memory and I'm glad that my brain selected that very moment and stored it. Now each time I hear the song, I can almost re-watch the scene entirely.

Loving and beautiful? Look into how different tribes of Native Americans sometimes treated there brothers who happened to belong to another. Native American battle axe to the head!! Arrow to the heart!!! Take his horses, his belongings, his woman. Beautiful unique love at its most astounding!!! Back to the music, Love nightwish, this song = beautiful.
@Animalover205 Жыл бұрын
This song is beautiful and tragic, it's also a story that has been played out all over the world and throughout history. The Native Americans are a strong people, with a rich and sad history, but they are not the only ones to have gone through this. Look at the Scottish Clearances, thousands of people thrown off land by force to make room for sheep, and the ones who would not leave were hung. Look at the Irish famine, thousands of people starving to death, forced to eat grass like a sheep because the government at the time would not give relief supplies or let them immagrate to other places, imprisoning or executing those who tried. I want to make it absolutely clear that I am in no way diminishing what the Native American Tribes went through, no condoning what has been done to them. I just wish people would wake the f*ck up and realise that they are not the only ones to have gone through this. *gets off soap box*

@@the5212 They were not ''their brothers''(these other native American tribes they were fighting against) anymore than in Europe the British were ''brothers'' with the French. Continents do not constitute an ethnic or national identity, in America the tribes were(and still are some) as much diverse ethnically as are European or Asian ethnic groups/nations. In any case every civilization has had what you describe here, but it's kinda unfair and closed-minded to isolate any form of civilization there and ignore all the goods and beauties it actually offered!!
