Howdy! With regard to meaning, "élan" is a French word that refers to spirit, enthusiasm, and basically (at least in this song) the primal joy of life and being alive. Now, I know that life isn't necessarily exhilarating all the time (depression and tragedy can certainly take the wind out of one's sails), but you'll notice that most of the lines in the song's lyrics are extraordinary things that one can only really do if they tackle life head on, and appreciate the world and every moment it offers you. I suppose that does share some qualities with a fairy tale, doesn't it?

It also reminds a Finnish word elän which translates to I live. No idea if that was intentional or not.

Good to see you back (and smiling!...you must be liking your new job). Like everyone else has stated in the comments, any song from the new DVD would be great for your next reaction. The whole show is epic...although I really like "I Want My Tears Back" because of all the dancing that Floor does all over the stage...and the crowd participation id fantastic! Cheers!

Eeeeeyh,he is BACK! And sure enough,Floor`d like so many times before!😍When i saw how her new outfit was designed,i couldnt help but think "Floor has seen all the funny remarks on her being Wonderwoman and Xenia The Warrior Princess",because that dress looked like a good combo of both thoose Heroines. Oh man,if you like Troys voice,you defintly have to check out "My Walden". The band made Troy have the honour of introducing and singing ALOT with both Floor and Marco on that one. The version at Wembley is really good,as Troy gets to open a song on Wembley,at his home country. The crowd makes him laugh right from the start,its really good. That will put a smile on your face for sure,maybe even make you laugh. Troy opens singing in Welsh,and its sooooo beautiful!

Great to see you again & with Nightwish no less. Just to let you & others know, their upcoming album "HUMAN :II: NATURE" will be released on 10th April 2020. It will be a double album containing 9 tracks on the main CD 1 and one long instrumental track, divided into eight chapters on CD 2. The first single "Noise" will be released shortly. You should do "I want my tears back" from this concert. I know you did the version from Wacken 2013 but this one is much better. IMHO.

Yep, I agree. The I Want My Tears Back -video from this concert is better and different than Wacken. And this version of that song please: "Nightwish - I Want My Tears Back live in Buenos Aires 2018 - Decades World Tour". The audience gets insane even before they start the song and Floor seems to be extra wild dancing around the stage like a little girl. Even Emppu, the guitarist, looks at her a couple of times and shakes his head with a big smile on his face like thinking she's gone crazy.

Yep, in this Buenos Aires version is really different feeling. Time has gone also 5 years between. In Wacken, Floor was not yet even member of the band...

Troy sings in many songs as back up, but he also sings in My Walden live at Tampere or Wembley and in The Carpenter from this concert please check them out. This Friday they will release a new single from their new upcoming album April 10th Human : II: Nature. The whole album Endless forms Most Beautiful, where Élan is from has to do with everything about Evolution.

Hi and welcome back!!! Always nice to to get some Nightwish... :D Others have already made suggestions, those are all good suggestions! This 2018 tour was full of old songs supporting with all time favorites and few songs from that time latest studio album (2015(. If you want hear how Troy takes lead place as vocalist, then from their very first album song Carpenter. Originally, Tuomas was singing it, but now he have 3 good vocalist, so he don´t need to do it anymore :D In upcoming album they will take those vocal harmonies in totally second level, so tells those first album reviews. Can´t wait to hear what it will sound. In this song you already heard those three singing together, so...? First new single should come out Feb 7th, so, just few days anymore! Might that 7th day is a day when internet collapses ;D

@@cashewshalom And waiting new album..., Tuomas "released Kai Hahto"... Until now, he has done more or less style of Jukka Nevalainen in drumming. In next album, he can show what he can do... And if want to get glimpse about that, then this Wintersun song is really good place to start.

Those recorder-like instruments Troy is playing are known as "tin whistles." They have individual names too but I've only heard the names a time or two and sadly can't remember them.
