I am 64 years old and love heavy metal from the 80's & 90's....and I figured there wasn't anyone putting out heavy metal that was fresh and new! Nightwish filled the void and they just keep adding more and more music that I love! 🤘🤘🤘🤘

Great reaction! It's just unbelievable how good Nightwish is, and how amazing Floor is. I must have heard this song at least 50 times now, and every time I am still stunned. It's so beautiful in the beginning, Floor's and Marko's voice, and then that key change. Just no words.

Hello from Finland, I was NW fan from 1997, a year after they put the band together. I love NW, and I'm sad that This bass player Marco Hietala left the band on around 2020. Even he send letter why he had to do that, was smoke in the mirrors. Label company wouldn't let marco do his solo stuff and other great so gs because most of them(mean singer/players) were from different Bands themselves. So Marco had enough and left no other choise for Marco besides leave(Taking leave of absence, but left that he might come back at slme point. Iif thks Covid hadn't happened i would say he would still be in this band. Idk how many songs have u done by them already, but in Wacken 2013 set list check Song of my self, I want my taer back(But pls) choose their 2018 or was it 2019 Buenos Aires concert. You can see how much South American fans love all of them. Other great songs by NW with theirs are Shudder Before the Beautiful (Wembley 2015, and Tampere same year. Whatever you do, DO NOT, I repeat Do Not check Poet and the Pendelum or Greatest show on Earth before dyou have li'e 8-10 Songsbefore those. You have to check out the band Epica, it Will blow your mind. You can start with"Sancta Terra" with Floor. Floor and Simone are Best friends, and both with incredible talent

The Nightwish rabbit hole is probably one of the best ones to go down. I think there are 4 main live shows that have great recorded performances: Waken, Buenos Aires, Wembley, and Tampere (sorry if I butchered any of those). I would recommend "Yours is an empty hope" live in Wembley 2015 as your next NW song. Pay attention to who is singing what. Then you definitely want to check out the concert in Tampere, Finland. And finally, be sure to check out older stuff from the Tarja and Anette eras of the band as well! Keep up the great content my man!

Floors voice is gorgeous. I think this is why arguments over who is 'best' never get anywhere. People can argue about who has the best range, most accuracy, most power etc, but they really dont matter, its about how a voice makes you feel. Floor voice is instant goosebumps for me, whereas Tarja and Anette are just singers who sing the songs. It doesnt matter how technically good they are if they dont give you the feels. On that front Beyonce is the same. Sure great technicality, but her voice does nothing for me at all.

Yeah, as you said, nobody is the "best" objectively. It's always been odd to me that someone can acknowledge that people have different tastes in food, but when it comes to music they think there is some definitive measurement that determines who is best. Floor's voice just sits in the perfect tonal range for me. She is able to go high without having that sharp tone that a lot of female singers have that just hurts my ears. There must be something going on in the Netherlands because Floor, Simone, and Anneke all have their own unique sound yet I like all three due to their tone more than their range/versatility, and they all have plenty of that as well. But I do get that it's just my taste and some people might have the same reaction to Floor that I have to other female singers.

My problem with the whole best singer thing is that people are always gonna be bias to who they like and what rubric are we using to evaluate these singers? You can talk about vocal range.... You know their highest note their lowest note how long they can sustain a note you could talk about singing on pitch and things like that......... However there's no rubric for measuring emotion bring emotion and stage presents and presents and charisma........ That's why I have always said that you cannot Really say that a singer is the best the best because that would assume that you've heard just about everybody out there lol and we know that's not humanly possible........ We have to remember that singing is an art form just like looking at a painting or anything else that is beautiful in this world........ To sit around and argue and debate with people it's just absolutely pointless......... It all comes down to personal taste and How that singer affects you and makes you feel and those are things that cannot be measured it's purely subjective that's why singing is an art form.

Without Floor in the band I would have never discovered Nightwish. I have listened to the other two former singers of the band and they just don't do it for me. In my opinion Floor is the best they have had hands down and it's not even close. Floor is a once in a generation talent. The other two are not. I'm glad Floor joined the band and people on KZbin do reactions because it helped me discover easily one of the most talented tight bands ever to have graced this earth.
