As far as I can see and compare, Floor has real contact with the audience. She is clearly the best performer of the three Nightwish singers. But that is purely my own observation. As far as the voice is concerned, it is purely a matter of taste of course. It is different for everyone. For me it's Floor. She matches best with the band.

nightwish has two spinoffs bands of former singers. There is just too much talent it had to multiply. That happened also with After Forever into Epica and Mayan and Revamp. There is sometimes too much talent concentrated in the motherload - the epicentre and from there multiple bands spinn off. It is a natural phenomenon.

I was at the Portland concert~ there were parts of that evening where my jaw literally just dropped and would stay dropped... Honestly, I have not had so much fun at a concert in a long time. She just literally blew me away. ReVamp is great, and if she stays there, then that's fine, ReVamp gets a new fan from me, but if she stays with Nightwish... she will have breathed new life I haven't felt from Nightwish since I was in high school. I really need NW like this in my life. Come on Tuomas....!

Awesome compilation of moments, good choices too! Thank you for sharing it. I am an 18 years fan of Nightwish. Only thing I can tell is that this woman has helped to make this band even better. I thought it was not possible, I thought Nightwish was an incredible band, but my goodness this woman. Her presence on stage, the dynamic that has developed between all the members of the band, HER VOICE, the way she transmits the feelings, the space Marco has gained since she is in the band. I don't know, I could go on and on and on about how much I feel Nightwish has gone to a whole another level since they completed the crew with Floor. There has been a lot of ups and downs, and I am sure that much distress and pain during some dark events, yet look what we have today. I am thankful to whatever force made her join the band, could not think of anyone else, ever!

That was a thing fall 2012: rumour had it Floor sang with Nightwish. So we looked it up on KZbin and then that epic ending just adding 2 notes where Tarja stopped: what a guts. Yep. She's wonderful. Ever since watching and listening to their Wacken concert, I have had this painful wish that they will one day remake the album Imaginaerum, which is perhaps my favorite album content wise, with Floor singing the songs. She brought so much more life into them. I especially could not get enough of her Storytime, Song of Myself, Last Ride of The Day & Ghost River. I also love her version of Ever Dream. I know it will probably never come true but a girl can dream, and I will just keep looking forward to their future endeavors.

This video is 9 years old and I only discovered Nightwish and Floor around 6 months ago. I really envy all of you who have known, listened to and loved this phenomenal band for years. I am now buried deep down the Nightwish rabbit hole absorbing everything from the wonderful Tarja and Annette eras and now the incomparable Floor. My musical world has been turned upside down and inside out 👍😊🙏

Look at the guy faces + listen to the crowd ... You couldn't slap the smile off of the guys faces with thor's battle axe, with out hesitation just knowing that by having floor in the band, because all the music is like brand-new songs ... new & sang like they should be. But the band is apex predators when they play Top Notch musicianship but I never got into Nightwish , only because of the previous two singers. But, in 2013 at wacken Festival in Germany, I saw my gorgeous Flying Dutch woman and had to take a double take ... and lo and behold... who was that Dutch goddess on stage . Which I love anything she does and from her previous band that I loved... After forever and revamp. at that exact moment I became a Nightwish fan. And as a musician, particularly 25 years behind the kit... Or drums. and I immediately thought 2 things. 1 - the guys in Nightwish must have fell down while riding horses and one of the horseshoes getting lodged in their ass... Because they hit the motherload and got the best female vocalist on planet Earth with the widest range of anyone as well as any genre... To perfection! 2 - I remember thinking now there's a drummer that I really hate, because now not only does he get to play in front of big crowds which is the best drug in the world, and gets to play metal in Sabaton ... a good band, but the main reason... is that not only does he get the live out 1, but two my fantasies... And after playing in front of Millions, he's a drummer that gets to go home to that beautiful Dutch goddess.... The lovely and seductive siren, with angelic vocal cords that God himself took from Angels put down her throat I do I have one thing to say though... Tarja and Annette who?! Floor has a range that literally goes from one end of the spectrum to the other, and all genres she Aces. That beautiful 6 ft tall Dutch goddess... Makes all of night Wishes song Sound brand new. Go back and look at ghost love score having tarja and Annette singing. For 1 if I have never had seen tarja, all I would picture was a big fat woman with a Viking helmet, singing opera shit. One-dimensional she only has that throaty and monotone Opera sounding vocals, just don't go with night wishes music and never has. I never listen to Nightwish, not because of the band... Their abilities I've no question top-notch musicians and above and beyond. But I just couldn't ever tolerate that Opera monotone sound and mostly in falsetta, and it wasn't until 2013 skimming by the wacken festival, had to take a double-take and seen it was floor Jansen from after forever and revamp. The the wacken festival, every single note, and show was absolutely perfection. I'm a drummer myself, and I know touring around it gets monotonous after a while and the Maine Factor is, the infamous perfect set or gig... They're like a white elephant, you hardly ever see him. Sure the fans people in the crowd might not understand that or notice it, but as musician's, you know we don't do it every single time that every single component is firing on all cylinders simultaneous. And Annette, she didn't have any care about what she wore like floor does. floor is a professional Showman, and wants to please the fans visual effects in stage presence. Annette might come out with a halter top and a pair of jean shorts and never really put effort into it. next time watch Love score ghost love score that is, and watch tarja and Annette... During the main climax, not only do they not throw in an extra backup vocals and they are to close it out, but they'll walk off the stage. Just couldn't ever feel but they were feeling the emotion of whatever story they were telling. But floor you can not in no way shape or form get no better then that tall Dutch woman oh boy is she in trancing. What she tells the story of poet and the Pendulum singing it, you make my six foot tall 200 pound ass cry like a bitch because you actually feel what she sings so much emotion so much power. She could growl or with the best of them, she can blaze Hard Rock Like Pat Benatar or Ann Wilson with the same intensity or more, she can have Grace Beautiful high notes and vibrato like Celine Dion and with melodic precision, or she could throw in some classical and not too much Opera cuz she clearly says she doesn't like Opera even though she's classically trained, one of the main reasons she throws in the Operetta vocals, is because that's how the song was written as well as being written for Persia. But I could promise you she is such an upgrade for Nightwish, that when she hits certain high notes and throws her own flavor on all of their old songs they will not stop smiling like they just had Christmas, and Christmas morning they got floor Jansen tight feeling. what she sways them hips, flops your hair back and forth, head bangs, well she just opens her mouth or moves any she's got me hooked. by getting rid of the other two singers Isaiah Thomas says, they're better than they ever have been and I concur.

As a longtime fan of Nightwish . I really really liked both Tarja and Anette as singers with this band. But of the three vocalists , I have to say that Floor is the onlyone I feel couldwither and die if she was not able to sing. She shines when on stage, the love of singing in front of an audience is so prominent that you can`t help falling in love with the songs as she does. I love her voice and stagepersonality :)

I have listened to some of the pre FLOOR era songs of nightwish and there were some good songs but the singers left the music flat, but every song i have heard Floor sing has been amazing, she has the most beautiful voice i have ever heard, i will be a FLOOR JANSEN fan for a long time to come

I came to realize that the reason why Floor is perfect for NW is because..... She likes what she's doing and has fun doing it. Anette did as well but her voice wasn't helping her. Tarja seemed to give up after some time and just consider it a chore. Floor has the whole package for a frontwoman (which is also the same as a frontman). Likes what she's doing, has fun doing it and her vocal range and skills are perfect for what she's singing.

It's Platinum! And the guys in the band, their management and everybody else on planet Earth knows this the fact that she's in the band now... They all know they hit the motherfuking motherload, and our way better than they ever have been tuomas and the guys... It's definitely sunk in now. They are the best, because they have the best.! And it's like a total different band and songs and get to listen to it with fresh ears. Because every song she does that they've done in their whole career, she puts your own twist and makes them better... Totally Agree. Anette did a great job in the studio, but metal concerts are very demanding, and Anette was going tired in a very short time. Floor studied music and vocal for about 6 years and have a lot of experience as a metal singer, frontwoman, kicking ass during concerts. Anette was a wedding vocalist before Nightwish, and sorry, but weddings or school competitions are not the same as a metal concert. Anette is a really good singer, really good, but maybe it's something that was not right with her technique because she struggled a lot with singing with Nightwish for 2 hours, in the same way, like on studio album. At first time, I thought that is because studio versions are really hard to sing live but like we hear: Floor sing it.

Yup yup! She is like the nicest person ever. On her Facebook page, her blog, and even the videos in which she appears, she's always so positive and nice. You just have to love her. And that voice! Seeing Jukka smiling like a little schoolboy while doing stick tricks at 10:13 .... I'm glad he's still behind the scenes with the band, I just miss his theatrics on stage. I was lucky enough to see him on drums 4 times, and Kai 2 times so far :)

Tour management, logistics management, PR opportunities, and the like, since he's so intimately familiar with every step of doing stuff like that while he was drumming, and he's part of the original family, they kept him around after supporting him during his insomnia treatment :)
