It's unbelievable how after all these years, I still feel so strongly while watching this performance. I can clearly remember the first time I saw this and the feeling is still the same, like a tsunami of emotions 😄 It's almost scary how much you can feel. And I don't know what kind of floodgates will open when it's finally time for another Nightwish show. Nightwish has never been a band for me, it's something more in a way that I can't really understand. Like, Tuomas' music just pours inside my brain and refuels my being 😂 It sounds stupid trying to explain how it feels, but it's unique yet reeaallly weird. I have no idea how he does it. But maybe that's exactly the thing that makes the story of Nightwish so epic and almost magical. Sometimes you just can't be sure if Tuomas really is from this planet or not 😂 I attended the opening seremonies of the new Nightwish museum in Kitee and heard a man saying "this truly is the day of national celebration". It felt a bit unreal to hear that, but I think everyone can agree that Tuomas is prominent among Finnish songmakers. (And it was lovely to see the chest for donations to animal rescue - Jamppa drove to my home to save a seagull just two weeks ago 😊)

I've always loved Nightiwish, which has been one of my favorite bands ever since I was a teenager and Tarja was still on the vocals, and I've been a huge fan of you since around 10 years ago thanks to After Forever and your work with Arjen Lucassen and Ayreon. Never before there was a singer that moved me so much, gave me goosebumps all over my body, brought me to tears so often - that transported me to another plane of existence. So when I've learned that you are going to join Nightwish, I was elated. And hearing you with the band live for the first time has been an experience I'll never forget. You guys are magic together. I can proudly say that Nightiwish is my favorite band now, just as you remain (and will most likely remain forever) my favorite singer.

What I like about Floor is that not ONLY is she a great vocalist, but she also knows how to bring it. When she sings she really tells a story with her intonation of the lyrics as well as with her body language. She is what I call "the complete package."

For me, Floor is by far the best choice for Nightwish. The reason for this is that Floor sings with incredible versatility. There are very, very few singers in the world who are as extremely versatile as this woman. But that doesn't mean that I automatically think Tarja or Anette are bad singers. Absolutely not, its just the fact that they doesn't manage to fill the range like Floor. Floor Jansen is unique and a phenomenon. It can hardly be described in words, you just feel it. And as an added bonus, she is also extremely likeable and warm-hearted as a human being. Simply a perfect mix.

Absolutely love at the 3:40 mark when Floor could have easily just let the pre-recorded choir do the singing, like what was done for the original recording, but instead, Floor sings the part herself rather than relying on the pre-recorded bit. THAT is why I love this woman being in the band.

@@TerryDrumCovers1951 Just saw Kai in LA and he killed it both nights. One of the best drummers I've seen this year along with Danny Carey from Tool. It's always great when one fantastic musician is replaced with another. I truly missed Marko though, but at least Jukka K is a great bass player so instrumentally they don't miss a beat. And Floor did great covering the Marko parts that Troy cannot quite do. I hope Marko rejoins but I'm just happy to finally have seen one of my favorite bands.

Same place I'm at now. Heard them back in the day with "Wish I Had an Angel" and again on their cover of "Over the Hills and Far Away" and wasn't sold. Was recommended them by a friend like 2 weeks ago, specifically this Wacken '13 concert and I was like "OK... hold up I've I've missing out". Not just Floor, but the whole band is great. I love this song! I only found Nightwish at the start of the lock downs here in Texas. My wife worked for a manufacturing company, which was deemed to be a critical manufacturing company...as they assemble circuit boards that go into medical equipment. So...after I dropped her off at work..I was by myself. I couldn't go play golf, to a move, etc. So...I started listening to music reaction videos. This is how I discovered Nightwish. Two and a half years later, I listen to NW all the time. My health has turned for the worse, but, I stay happy and positive by listening to NW and Floor! Just want you to know that Nightwish has effected my outlook on life so much! I stay positive and happy despite injuries that left me barely able to walk, even with a walker or my cane...Nightwish's music is always there to make me happy!! Thank you Tuomas, Floor, Emppu, Jukka, Kai, Troy, Marko ( I hope you come back! But mainly, I hope you are feeling better and more positive! Just a fan from Texas! There is no denying that Anette did a great job with DPP and Imaginaerum, but there is also no denying in the fact, that Nightwish has always been an escapistic band with dark fantasy themes; the power of a TRUE soprano voice, with lirical singing and high-pitched notes, gives the songs so much more meaning and impact. I am, for one, very happy to see Floor join their ranks - there is no one who can predict what amazingness Tuomas will be able to bring to the table with her powerful and yet dynamic voice. She is just purely amazing in how she controls her voice, and it does show, that she has had years of practise.

Not to me. I'm a Floor fan, but also fan of the old singers. Nightwish is more experienced, but their old singers were actually really good. Tarja's Once is still the best selling album. Anette's both albums sold more than Floor's album has. Anette has the most selling single. Two of the most watched KZbin NW songs are Anette's. Both Anette and Floor are rock singers, and I don't see anything what Floor sings that Anette couldn't have. But on stage Floor is a good actress! They have upped the live performances a lot: the big shows are now choreographically planned, unlike earlier, making live shows more a ... show.

@MinutemanSam No, Tarja has more classical training. Floor studied musical thearte and one year opera in Conservatorium of Tilburg. Tarja specialized to classical 1995 in School of Art and Music, then 1996 - 2000 in Sibelius Academy, then 2001 - 2003 in Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, that's 9 years of classical studies. And since that she has been a private pupil of at least Agrentinian opera singer Marta Blanco and Mitsuko Shirai, who was also Tarja's professor in Karlsruhe.

If you think about it, it makes total sense. They are crushing it in a venue with over 80,000 people, who are lit and overjoyed to see this performance, and they know it. Floor has them eating out of her hands, and I can't think of a better experience for the performers. I'd smile too, knowing I was putting on a show that none who attended will ever forget, and those of us who weren't fortunate enough to be there in person will get to experience for ages to come, since it was preserved so faithfully.

Hans Zimmer makes great music but when you add a scene of Gladiator with Russell Crowe I get tears in my eyes. Ennio Morricone is a musical genius but add a scene of Once Upon a Time in the West with Claudia Cardinale and Charles Bronson and I get goosebumps. I always loved Nightwish music but when you put Floor on stage, the band members get wings, I'm feeling 20 years younger and my eyes start to sweat! Instant happiness. Bedankt Floor!

NIghtwish hit the gold mine with Floor, I sincerely hope she stays with Nightwish until the end. I know the guys had falling out issues with Tarja and Anette, but hopefully this doesn't happen with Floor. Floor was asked about this in an interview and she said she talked it out with the guys that if anything was going wrong they'd discuss it maturely like adults so it won't resort to some sudden "sorry you fucked up we need you to go". It was much to my shock (and horror!) when I heard the original recording of this song, only to realize the middle operatic part was a recording! THANK GOD FOR FLOOR! She took this song to a whole new level and I am forever thankful she is now a permanent member of Nightwish. One thing I really don't understand. Why are some people still arguing about Tarja, Anette and now Floor. Tarja was great, but it has bin 8 f.cking years now since she left and she won't come back. Can we get over that allready. I agree Anette with her soft and more pop like voice was maybe not the best joice, but she did a great job in DPP and Imageinarium. Now we have Floor who fits perfectely into the band since she can sing all songs in her own awesome way. Really, Tarja has a great solo career, Anette will go her way and Nighwish has Floor and Troy now. Evrything is allwright. So just STFU and enjoy the music. Yes, Anette did a good job in the studio. I like both albums, espacially the songwriting is so fucking great, that it doesn´t matter who sings this stuff. But Anette was not good on stage. Floors stage presence and her powerfull voice between opera and rock is exacly that, what I expected as they searched for Tarjas follower.

Great, great, GREAT! I love how Floor brings back the metal presence to Nightwish. She can easily perform Tarja songs and with Anette songs she brings a mixture of Anette and Tarja into one person. You can clearly hear 'Anette' in the choruses and 'Tarja' at 03:40 onwards. I can't be more exited. I never believed Nightwish will find anything that will be able to replace Turunen that I will really enjoy. Now lets hear what Tuomas can compose for her.

I love how they can barely stop grinning through the whole performance, the compositions are coming together perfectly in front of a hundred thousand people and they bloody well know it. This particular song has some great little moments... almost everytime Floor sings the "every moon-LIT-sight" part there's a reaction shot from someone in the band because it's just exactly right... At 1:00 Emppu is willing his intensity into the audience. 1:09 - yep, that worked 2:00 and 2:28 - I so wonder exactly what he was thinking here, but something is definitely going right, a sort of evil guilty pleasure look 2:35 - Moon-LIT-sight... a little nod of approval 2:59 - Jukka with his amazing intensity. "Yeah, I'm not hitting anything right now, but in a second I'm going to smash this kit right through the stage": 3:17 - Floor looks like she's about to burst out laughing because she's having such a good time 4:30 - another great "moon-lit-sight" reaction. This kind of energy coming off the stage is so infectious.

You know, I noticed that, too, before I ever saw your comment. Watching this, I can see the guys in the band just beaming because they're so happy. There's a shot of Tuomas at 2:02, and he's so happy! That smile says a thousand words. And there's another shot of Marco, when he's looking over and smiling, and he's thinking "yeah, this is really perfect." This is Nightwish hitting on all cylinders. People can discuss the whole Tarja/Anette/Floor thing to death, and unfortunately, they do. But for me, at least, this is the best they have ever sounded live. I ordered the "Showtime, Storytime" Blu Ray set the day before yesterday, and I'm pre-ordering the new album with Floor. The internet is a great thing, because the music coming out here in the States absolutely sucks, for the most part. Most of the interesting rock/metal, as far as I'm concerned, is coming out of Europe. And Nightwish is at the very front. BTW, allmhuran, I can't help but chuckle at your comment about Jukka. He's the closest living thing to the Animal Muppet. He gets SO into his playing, and I can't help but laugh at 1:40 when he's waiting to start playing, he's bouncing around behind his kit, thinking "come on, come on, let me at 'em!" I know "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" will be a phenomenal album, but without Jukka (who is taking some time off for a much deserved rest), it won't be quite the same for me. He's instrumental to their sound. I will just have to wait for the next album, when the full Nightwish is together in the studio. Hurry back, Jukka!

I wish more people would listen to this, its just so pure, warm and incredible sound. I've seen a lot (a lot) of reactions to this song and this sound brings people to tears. Its just so round, crystal clear and a sound that feels like home. The way she sings is the best example of pure angelic sound. Its chilling. Their song are teeming with beautiful parts. The baseline is something else, so goddamn funky at parts and just provides a beautiful calming rhythm to the song. The drummer is incredible and his fills are so on point. Everything about them is just perfect. Floor is a siren send to remind people of home, love, art and poetry
