Great to have Drew with you. I just hope that I picked the right piano in his NW/PotC quizz. P.S. It just happens that Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish' s composer genius) is a big fan of Hans Zimmer and his favorite singer is Lisa Gerrard.

I am so glad that is cleared up. It upsets me when people hide behind a screen and says mean things. To me Nightwish is supposed to bring people together not tear them apart. I think we are even getting better about the singers in the last couple of years. The whole thing is listening to Tuomas's music. Because without that there is no Nightwish!

@Sidewinders React You need to quit letting that guy get under your skin. He is in the past now it is time to move forward. Only you are the one that can change your own channel. You are going to have to look at it objectively not subjectively. Then you need to be honest with yourself. So get a tablet and make 2 columns. I column write your positives and the 2nd write your negatives. Then from those make a plan of action for your channel. From your opening to the end. For example you have a good sense of humor, so use that. This is just one idea. Hopefully this will get you thinking...... :-)

Gotta have some thick skin to have a KZbin channel! Good idea to have a follow up video :) Another epic song from Nightwish is The Poet and The Pendulum. Epic in a couple of ways - not only the instrumentation, but also the story within the lyrics. This song is about Tuomas Holopainen's (keyboardist and founder of NIghtwish) struggle after the band let Tarja (the first singer) go. I highly recommend checking out the lyrics and watching the live version from Wembley 2016.

I would not say they hated it, they were not 100% sold yet, but saw great things in there and even asked for comments to suggest other songs to help them acrosss the line. They even admitted in that same video, that they expected something more alongside Jinjer, and that may have clouded their expectations here. By video 2 they were already way more excited.

I feel like it's more useful to focus on the positive comments than the negative. Some people are mean just to be mean, and to get this kind of attention. Sadly, there are idiots in every area of life. I'd just like to add, 90% of the "floorgasm interrupted" are more of a frustrated joke from fans (sarcasm doesn't read easily on text) than serious meanness. Either way, keep it up, do it your way, because that's how it should be done, and keep giving music a chance. *thumbs up*

i am a bit let down by the comments section you read ^^ i agree the pause is destroying a lot and i would recommend rewinding, but its not like you are the only people doing that. Indeed most channels i watch analyse music and lyrics so they have to pause in the middle. besides as you say its REACTION. If you want to hear the music...listen to the music vid XD Personal attacks are also not in place. I personally cant really believe how you can not like nightwish but then there is people who like Hip Hop and thats totally beyond my capability oder understanding. if i was asked an oppinion though your GF could do less make up. but that again is taste, some people like it natural others dont and you have to like her, not me ^^ So finally some input...converting a (i suppose Pop music?) fan into a metalhead takes time. You should avoid metal bands that are more extreme (death, black, speed metal) and focus more on bands that are closer to pop. She might like other songs of nightwish (over the hills, nemo) or songs she might be familiar with (phantom of the opera by nightwish) lacuna Coil might also be something she might enjoy more. If you want to get emotional lyrics that you kinda have to like for that sake or what great things metal can do id suggest 5 finger death punch "Wrong side of heaven" Or a funny one to make her laugh might be "Kickapoo" by Tenacious D A mix of the 2 would be Disturbed cover of Sound of Silence. Definitely give her that to watch. If she is a nerdy type...which i doubt, she might fall in Love with Sabaton (history based songs) You might also give bands a try that already were in pop culture like Linkin Park (numb is fantasic...and yes its metal) in general i think symphonic metal is a good start for a newcomer, just avoid songs with lots of screaming, you have to egt used to it to like it. A bit like beer XD Definitely avoid Slip knot and bands with dark texts. Also, a good conversion song proved to be "Awakening" from unleash the archers.

Ok... so... as you've noticed, from my comments, today, on your original reaction to Ghost Love Score, I failed to do my due diligence, and check the date you published that reaction. Oops? So, now that I've seen THIS one, I'm happy that you've listened to the song, without the influence of the visual. It's seriously different. So, that aside, I'm excited that you're bringing in a 3rd party, to break down the music. With that in mind, I would LOVE to get the three of you together, to react to a couple of Prog Metal songs, from Queensrÿche... *Roads to Madness," from their 1984 album "The Warning"... and "Suite Sister Mary," from their 1988 concept album "Operation: Mindcrime." (For me, Mindcrime is one of those "Listen to the whole f'in thing, beginning to end, too get the full experience," albums. I think you'll enjoy it.) #feelthemusic

Kudos, this was exactly what those with mean comments needed. I sincerely hope that they didn't turn you guys away from Nightwish never to listen/watch them again, because they have over 100 great songs with enough variety for everyone to find their favorites. True, honest reactions cannot be planned in advance, so pause, rewind & do your stuff your own way. P.S. Although studies suggest metalheads to be intelligent, it sadly does not translate into all of them being nice people. I already said this before - you guys are so great together & funny too (in a good way of course) plus that little black metal doggy is adorable. P.S.S. At the end you mentioned Kamelot. Fun fact, in 2012 Nightwish's lead vocalist Anette Olzon (the one before their current lead vocalist Floor Jansen) got sick and had to be rushed into hospital just hours before she was supposed to be with the band on stage in Denver. Fortunately, Kamelot was their warm up band there, and here you can see what then happened kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJmoqZ6jjLCAe7c

I am probably the oldest Nightwish fan on here, and i love reaction videos. While i don't always agree with the peron or person doing the reaction, we can't all like the same thing. I will always respect your right to different opinion than myself, it is your right. Oh don't get me started on the drummer Jukka, hehehehehe while i know what you mean it is his type and method of drumming that makes song fit together, yes he could do more, but why? The songs are written and arranged to highlight one thing the story and emotion of the song, if you had an overpowering drummer it would fail in that aspect. Nightwish is a band for all the senses and all out your emotions. it will get into your mind your heart and soul. Just my $.02 worth. Keep the videos coming. And don't listen to people who are negative, and take things personnel.

2:59 it's strange that some people have to excrete outright poison. there is a saying around here, "empty barrels rattle the most", Tuomas (keyboard player) actually stated that these people who hate speech on the internet are full of emptiness, hence the song you are empty hope, which is a direct answer to them. the song is angry, even aggressive. I thought you were both absolutely amazing! the conversation between the two of you was interesting to listen to. I understood you to be a listener. you get a lot out of just the earpiece. your wife, on the other hand, needs the whole show to get the most out of it. you are different in that matter and you talked to each other about your differences. I'm glad you liked the show. Just make videos in your own way. those who are really interested will follow. hold the flag high both of you, or as my husband says, head up and face new disappointments to keep your spirits up. Floororgasm is again a bit like a joke in itself. intended to describe how Floor Jansen impresses even those who really hate metal music or have severe prejudices towards the genre. my father, for example, considers all pop music to be straight-up, monotonous clattering of the machine. even though pop music is everywhere. until the end. it would be interesting to see you continue the journey with Nightwish. however, I am grateful for even this small taste.

I don't belong to the section of "mean comment writers" (I only have some tendencies to write superlong ones), but I was a little bit disapointed, because this is really the worst moment for an interruption. It's the Holy Grail of this song ("Oh, shut up! This is pathetic!" Yes, I know ;-) ) And here I am, thanking you to clear this up. Altough I'm a metalhead since `84, I am very open minded to every other music style. And I say, it's really honorable, that you both try to understand the favourites of each other. There is no bad music, only bad musicians. If you really wanna get a proof that there's no need to draw a line between different music styles, you may once listen to a band from Finland called Waltari. Sadly unknown for many people. They're a metal band, but they got no problems taking a step into HipHop, Funk, Country, Jazz, Blues, Folk, Techno... seperated or combinated. Their absolute masterpiece is "Yeah! Yeah! Die! Die", a Death Metal Symphony In Deep C. Death Metal meets Classic with a female operatic singer (and some other musical surprises).

This was a good video and definitely told a little more of your story. I think it's a fun concept, but anytime you put people in a position to make anonymous comments, you're going to get some d-bags. That's the internet for you. The truth is that you guys seem like a fun couple and Pamela is beautiful. Anyway, I think the key to getting someone into metal who has a pop or R&B background is to make sure what you choose has good melody. There's just no way a newbie is going to be interested in metal that uses aggressive, guttural and dissonant sounds. You might have gone a little too heavy, too quickly. I get why you looked to Nightwish, because they are quite melodic, not overly aggressive and bring some theatrics to the metal genre that Pamela might enjoy, so I think that's a good call. Try the song "Ever Dream" from the same Wacken show. I think she'll like that one. I think you could work with an artist like Ozzy and start with "Goodbye to Romance" and then work through his heavier tracks. She would probably like Scorpions, who have an amazing catalog of ballads and melodic upbeat tracks. To get her to the heavier side of metal, I would work through a band like Sevendust, who are heavy and work in some guttural sounds while maintaining melody and solid hooks. Try starting with the songs "Honesty" and "Ugly". She'll probably like those. Good luck!

I'm new to Nightwish myself, and I've heard that there are some die hard Nightwish fans out there, they even say that there's a Nightwish army, which I think there is as there are so very many fans of the group out there world wide, unfortunately some are fanatical. I am glad to hear you guys will keep doing reaction, your very likable and relatable. Best wishes to you. If I could recommend a couple more Nightwish songs definitely check out "The Greatest show on earth and " pendulum and the poet" Both live at Wembley. Also it's not metal, but the song is a cover done by one of the greatest metal bands out there, it's called the 'Sound of Silence" by Disturbed, they are a heavy metal band, though you wouldn't notice it listening to that song, but I dont think you will be disappointed, His voice is amazing. Again Best wishes to you guys and thanks you for your reactions!

It's not the end of the world. You don't even need to apologize. I'm sorry you even had to make a follow up video. You guys should listen to poet and the pendulum by nightwish at Wembley 2016. Definitely look up the story of the song. It's very emotional and it would be an interesting reaction to watch from you both. Definately will take you on a journey. I'm am slightly concerned it might be too much though. It was rather overwhelming to me when I first heard it. And regardless of what everyone else might think, I like the live reaction with the pauses (but be sure to have her listen to things unbroken afterwards as it does make a difference) because it tells us what you think in the moment and we don't get the weird "and you know the part that was like ahh...." which so often get with after the fact reactions. Like that you tell us what you really think too. Keep it up! And good luck on the conversion

Hi Pamela and Drew! I was hoping for this reaction and please allow me to explain why. To be upfront: I was among the first commenters who was very annoyed with your reaction and commented accordingly. I'm not going to repeat myself here, you guys out there. You can review my remarks with the original video if you want, but why would you? It's not about me but about Pamela and Drew. What I wanted to point out in my critique was my growing annoyance building up during the whole of the reaction. Let me be fair, there were quite some nice discussion themes going on but many of them had nothing to do with the song, nor with the performers. I would define it as a reaction overkill. It became very obvious to me that a lot of needed attention for the song was lost which ultimately was proven by the infamous pause. Now a quick word to some commenters with this video below and above. If you really think that I purely was annoyed because of that pause, please think again. I'm not watching reaction videos for the purpose of hearing/seeing the song again. Hell, I must have heard it a few hundred times in the meantime since as a Nightwish fan I watch every single Nightwish reaction video out there. What I wanted to make clear is this: I'm in for the reactions, positive or negative doesn't matter to me as long as there is attention/respect for the song and its performer(s). Also let me be clear about this: quite some commenters reacting later than I went waaaaay below the belt with their remarks. I'm totally with the both of you in disapproving of these insults! To end this long dispute I have very possive feelings about Pamela's telling how she afterwards enjoyed the song listening to it undisturbed and in solitude. This is a stepping stone to improve your future reactions: be to the point and try to feel the song and let it all be about the song and its performers. If you're still with me, let me wish you lots of succes with your future reactions. You haven't lost me yet. I'm a firm believer in second chances!

The Nightwish community needs to get over itself, especially the Floor fans who just have to accept that not everyone are converted immediately. Perfection kills the beauty, thats the weakness of Nightwish and thats coming from a loyal fan who has seen them on every tour since 2005. If you want to return to Nightwish I suggest checking out the official video of Nemo, I personally consider it a hallmark song of Symphonic Metal. I heard you say Kamelot, thats nice, I would like to add Dimmu Borgir - Gateways (FORCES OF THE NORTHEN NIHGT LIVE). Also Ancient Bards - Impious Dystopia, I would call this 'fantasy' metal, very epic in a story telling way, think of it as a warm-up to Game of Thrones :)

Of course you have to give your own impression of the song - only that is going to be difficult if you do not listen to it. Pausing for a comment always will cut off the show, but if you had been listening you would'nt have done it there. Apart from this, your comment covers most of what makes Nightwish and Floor Jansen so special. Everybody can make a mistake so no grudge on my side.

Hey Jordan, hey Pamela, I have been watching your videos and I am amused about the fact, that you Jordan are trying to convert your girlfriend into Metal. I think it’s a funny and entertaining concept. I was brought into the scene by my best friend about 28 years ago, it is not impossible :) I have an idea about Heavy Metal. To be honest, I love this music and to me it is a live setting. But I don’t want to get our too far, I decided, that I will be following you guys and if I can, help you with getting Pamela understand the dynamics of this musical genre. On a side note…I do not necessarily react to any comments from others, especially insulting and destructive comments will not be acknowledged. This is just a waste of my time. Let’s just focus on the mission and have fun, that’s what it’s all about, right? I am a metal fan for the majority of my life, this community is the most peaceful community that I could witness on many concerts and festivals. We just don’t judge others based on appearance, at least not in my book. OK, ‘nough of that…. I have listened carefully to you guys in the last video after the…let’s call it the “Nightwish sensation”. I understand that you want to break the videos up in pieces, and that is totally fine. There will always be people that have a totally different mindset on how things should be done. Do you, do not do what others tell you, especially if it is not constructive and profoundly explained. By breaking up the video in the sequences that you do at your own pace, you are able to give a reaction or an explanation about how a certain passage makes you feel, that is the interesting part. This is what makes this mission entertaining, because Pamela can react to it on the spot and doesn’t have to wait ’til the end and by then she might have forgotten half of her thoughts, keep going. You are doing good. Now, Ghost love score by Nightwish was certainiy a break through and in fact, it was the right way to go. When I saw that you tried to hit her up with Megadeth and Gojira on the first two trials, I thought - jeeze, do a little foreplay, don’t just show here the hammer and then go at it. Don’t get me wrong, I like Megadeth a lot, they belong to the Thrash Metal genre one of the big four (Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer). This is certainly something more wicked for a beginner. I started with AC/DC, Guns n’ Roses and Iron Maiden. Get started on something more melodic dynamic. There are a lot of German bands out there, one of them is Powerwolf. Pamela said, she can better relate to a Live video for the first time. Just give it a try: kzbin.info/www/bejne/omKogKKvpJ1ojas This is a video of them at Masters of Rock in 2015 - look at the crowd man… Also, do not be scared taken back by the appearance, they have a stage show that is great. I never saw them live, until now :) Let me know if you have any questions and don’t give up. See ya around
