Watching this back now after reading her book and everything that happened to her since she did this interview, you seriously can't help but be in awe of her. She played the part so well, telling everyone she's fine and happy, whilst she's being manipulated and controlled, playing along in fear of losing her children. Legally how anyone could watch her perform and interview like this and question her capability and mental capacity to control her own life is beyond me, the corruption involved on so many levels for her rights to be taken away for as long as they were, and for her life and finances to be controlled by her bankrupt bully of a father just shows how broken the system is. I have always loved Britney, and even if she never decides to perform again I could not love her anymore now for surviving everything she's endured and just living her life however she wants to, free and hopefully happy. She owes nobody anything and should spend the rest of her time doing whatever makes her happy as she tries to move on with her life as a free woman!

I just finished the book. A weekend well spent. I respect her strength, her courage. This book, her story, made me feel less alone in facing my own challenges, battling my own demons. I remember the day I first saw heard her music, saw her video, I just couldn’t wrap it around my head to see a star that shone so bright on her first debut, I was mind blown. She still blows my mind even today, when I thought her light has dimmed. No, she was just bidding her time.

Nah she’s a typical modern toxic masculinity woman. She’s NEVER EVER going to be married! If so, it’s not going to last! 1. Doesn’t want to a complicit and obedient traditionalist wife. 2. She’s in her late 30s now? No man want baggage when they can get a 20 year old. 3. These women on here say she’s smart is dumb ASF! No wonder Andrew Tate and Fresh and Fit are 200% of these ratchet type women. 4. She’s exactly like Jada Pinkett. 5. She still desires money and no man cares about how much a women makes. That’s the problem with 90% of American and Western women. We men don’t give a shit about how much a women makes or even a degree! 6. You have to make 5.6 million or more as women tend to date up while men willing to date downwards. Reality checks in. 7. No men want an old ass 30-50 year old when there are plenty fresh 20 year olds! Especially, baggage! 8. This type of women like Jada and Tyrese ex are what want to control men. Pathetic! 9. 70-80% of divorces in America are initiated by women. Ask yourself why.

The anecdote about the getting contact high and leaving the stage is much darker than it seems. She would get periodically tested for substance abuse and if she ever failed a test (which she never did) she was threatened with being sent to a mental facility if she failed, or worse lose the little time she was allowed to be with her kids. Whenever she smelled weed in her shows from showgoers it was very stressful for her because she would fear she would fail the drug test only because she was close to someone who was smoking. That’s how traumatized she’s been 😞

There are people in her life who should pay for what they did to her, starting with her father. For all the years she lost her freedom because of him he should lose the same amount of years in prison. The things he did to her, the manipulation, threats of not seeing her kids if she didn't obey him and robbing her blind and paying other people to go along with him and other people did for the money. He wasn't going to lose his golden cash cow. Everything of value he has, any money that he has, through investments, etc. should be given to Britney. Other people involved, she knows who, should have consequences as well, and not just a slap on the wrist. She lost the best years of her life, and worse she didn't get physical custody of her kids, didn't get to raise them and because of that she didn't get to bond with them nor them with her. She adored her kids, so she lost out on that as well. What she went through was so tragic and it certainly took a toll on her, and you can see how it aged her, a lot imo. There is no question about the criminality and corruption in this situation and people need to pay for it. The whole thing is both sickening and infuriating.

I really like Britney Spears, no matter what they say she did, she was a great singer as a kid she made great shows, everybody made money of her especially her exhusband and her father. I'm so glad to see her enjoying herself and I hope her book will bring her success and the peace she so badly need. I'm 73 but i still enjoy watching her. Good luck Britney. ❤

I have no idea how this woman was able to glow and be so incredibly sweet during that conservatorship, her sweet nature is irresistible. Everyone I’ve ever seen who has said they’ve met her always says the same: she’s SO sweet. My daughter used to be so quiet and lacked confidence, couldn’t stand up in class and read out loud but when she stepped out on stage to do a ballet performance she said it was like she could morph into someone else. Perhaps it’s similar for Britney, on the stage it’s like her super power and she can leave the tormented Britney behind, off the stage life is just too hard, I can’t explain it, but I can understand how she can be both strong and weak at the same time. The world needs to realise how delicate she is and look after her better. So many stars like Amy Whinehouse constantly trolled by the media in a bad way. Really hope Britney can find some peace after all she’s been through and some genuine friends.

You need to bear in mind this is British TV (BBC) and not a serious type interview show at all. Jonathan Ross' shows follow this type of format with everyone he has on and many times he has all of his guests on the couch laughing, joking, poking fun, etc. British humor is a bit different from ours as well. You should watch some of his shows to familiarize yourself with the rapport between Ross and his guests. They're really funny and interesting! The only thing - if she smoked weed when she was 17, she most certainly knows what beer pong is so I don't believe that line.

I love all the support she is getting in this interview. Yet, I can’t help but feel sad at how people are not reading between the lines and watching her body language. While yes she is a professional, kind and sweet person, she was absolutely guarded, scared and anxious. Knowing what we know now and really listening to what she was saying, she was covering a no hiding her real pain and it’s so heart breaking to watch…
@FCUK- Жыл бұрын
Exactly. You can tell she was more like a zombie she just did what she was told like a robot. It's pretty obvious. She knew her fans noticed then I remember thinking man she's so weird now. Something definitely was off. It all makes sense now. Even people they have met her in Vegas said she was like a robot no real emotion just stood there and nodded. Like a blank stare. Now we know why. So sad.

As someone with complex ptsd and mental health issues, it breaks my heart that this is the only thing people see when they see watch her speak. @michaelireefe8118 that’s not all I see. Having similar struggles as you do, I also don’t want to dismiss your point. I understand you too. I was actually trying to highlight the fact, that people now call her crazy and say she went of the deep end, yet she looked happy here or in other interviews, when it’s very obvious that yes she was genuine to her best capabilities but also there were early signs that she hasn’t been okay for so long, yet people don’t even recognize it.
