The composer, Tuomas has said that this song is about empathy - ability to ask a from a friend or one you know by sight "How's the heart". There are few verses written to honor Floors first born.

I love this version of the song. Nightwish is so known for their sweeping epic sound that it can be hard to remember that they're just as good in a low-key stripped-down version. And come on...a Floor and Troy duet!?! What's not to love? Plus, it's always amazing when Floor lets go and just goes for it, although I'm sure that's only about half power for her.

Troy and Floor made an amazing job of this together, absolutely stunning! I wonder how long it took Troy to get his hearing back in his left ear? 😂. As regards which way you turn, it’s perfectly normal, go watch which way water swirls down the plughole, If you’re south of the equator it goes the opposite direction, all to do with the Earth’s rotation!

Yes Floor has absolute control in her voice, I have never heard her miss a note in anything she does live . She in my opinion is the greatest female vocalist in the world. She can sing any music genre perfectly. The whole band is amazing and good, humble people. One of my top 10 favorite Nightwish songs and I shed a tear every time.

Troy and Floor also cover Nemo in what I assume is the same session since they are wearing the same clothes. It is also very enjoyable. I think it would be great if someone did a double reaction with these songs with the stripped down acoustic vs full Nightwish versions!

Loved your reaction! Tuomas's ode to human empathy. To ask are our friends or even strangers, how's your heart? Second verse was written by Tuomas as a tribute to Floor. We met where the cliff greets the sea - Floor meeting her husband Hannes van Dahl (drummer for Sabaton) Shared a story, took the leap - Floor and Hannes fall in love and marry. Rose up rooted, hid a note - Floor uproots herself and moves north, first to Finland to be with the band and then Sweden to be with Hannes. Now there's one who came from me A child of light, another tale - Floor giving birth to her first daughter Freya. During the Human Nature Tour in 2023 when she was heavil pregnant she changed the lyric to Now there's two who came from me. Floor has said she cried when Tuomas explained the lyric to her. A little shout out to Floor to acknowledge how important she has been to the band and Tuomas. Tuomas showing empathy and gratitude to Floor.

Nice reaction I enjoy this side of them. Nightwish has a number of songs with strong celtic connections, particularly when Troy (gutarist/backup vocals) plays his Irish pipes and whistles. This session was during covid time before any of the Nightwish Human::Nature album concerts. This arrangement was liked, and in the first two 2021 virtual concerts, before they could tour, they played this accoustic arrangement one night, and the full band version on the other. On tour they used the accoustic version, with the band joining in gently at the end. There are some good fan videos of it on YT. Saw it live in Montreal May 2022. Your can hear the full band version in the Nightwish music video.

👍You said it🤗,it takes enormous amounts of practice to be a vocalist like Floor is,but next to that,ofcourse ,talent and perseverance.It's also a bit physical in the sence of the colour/tone of your voice and long capacity. Floor seems to be so lucky to have all of this but,she also has a down to earth personality (Dutch genes😁) is beautiful (i think so☺) and all of this combined makes her a loved person for lots of people. And yes ,Troy is a fenominal multi instrumentalist and funny /cheerful guy. Just epic musicians.🤘

It IS almost like a folk song. There's nothing even remotely "Celtic" about it though - not that anyone knows what Celtic music was like anyway as the Celtic culture died out centuries ago. The guitarist was Nightwish's English multi-instrumentalist, Troy Donockley, most well known for playing bagpipes with the band.
