Beautiful song 9/10 I feel like this song is a ode to everyone who lost theier parrents!! Floor sings the sentence, i was the one who climbed of your back not long ago, same words used in the song Our decades in the sun, and that song is surely a ode to our parrents, that basicly why i say its about lost parrents, who became stardust..

This album is for sure one to get into from begin to end in one go to let all the emotions get to you. And the emotions definitely will come. This is the last song of the album with the noise of ending of the film reel. The album starts with the film reel beginning to unwind.

The staccato in the instrumental break was design so as the the strings to be rhythmically in synch with the film projector sound/noise. Very nice touch. Great review.

Great reaction, thank you! The whole album is a masterpiece, a great mixture of heavy and soft and I love both. In my opinion NW is a genre of its own - yes, they play really heavy songs but also soft and moving ballads. And who dares to say "this is not Nightwish" - only NW has the right to say what they are. This song is so beautiful and brings me to tears, Floor and Troy sound great together in this song. His voice has a totally other quality (and power) as Marko's has; you should not compare them. I love both of them.

Oh the 18:01 doubling of Floor's face there at the end and what it could possibly mean? I'm reminded of Janus, the Roman god looking into the past/future simultaneously, representing the passage of time. Just a wild guess tho, but it would perfectly fit the message/vibe.

@@Laura-rq8gx symphonic metal is the label more neasr to describe NW , ma after 30 years is a limiting label, they are more than that. I understand some fans want what they like or liked in the past, as i grow in all this years with them i also changed , and now is not the musical genre that is intreresting me, but meaning ,concept and the emotions of song, instead as only how they sound.

Nightwish doesn't make symphonic metal ... Nightwish makes Nightwish music. At the latest with this song even the last one should have understood that Nightwish is not just a metal band, but something unique.
