Such a great song to end that magical night at this legendary show. Look at them all. Just look at the chemistry between them! I really like the spontaneous moments after the song has ended. Nothing against "Ad Astra" in the least, but this here at Wacken was so organic and beautiful. Look at Floor right after the last notes, standing there in awe & appreciation. How they're hugging each other (Tuomas & Troy moment is very nice). Also take special notice of how Tuomas rushes after Floor as she leaves the stage at 15:47 and how he pats her on the shoulder in a heartfelt ty. Saw him do something similar at the last recent show they did in South-America where he held on to her shoulder for as long as he could, before she started to deliver her final Ad Astra notes, fighting the tears (they knew abt the cancer diagnosis). Back in 2012 she saved their Imaginaerum Tour, brought back the metal, the band spirit and with her stage presence and unmatched vocal versatility took Nightwish to the next level. At Wacken 2013 everything came together and music history was made. Thank you Floor! Here's to many more years to come and here's to seeing you and your brothers in metal on Nov 27th in Amsterdam. Cheers! 🤘
@BrendonChase_20152 жыл бұрын
This is that moment I referred to. Last concert before they got back to Europe to resume that leg of their tour in Antwerp in a few days from now. Floor fighting the tears, Jukka noticing and Tuomas holding on to her shoulder until he has to let her go. "Touching" really is an understatement here. I love the chorus; Once upon a night we'll wake to the carnival of life / The beauty of this ride ahead such an incredible high / It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead / This moment the dawn of humanity. An ode to a hopeful and bright future. Stay safe, God bless, and keep rocking.

Name me another band that has 3 amazing show closers, This is one great show closer, along with Ghost Love Score and The Greatest Show on Earth, This was the end of a fantastic concert, which has turned into one of the all time classic Rock Videos, to be honest out of the top ten Live videos, Nightwish has produced 4 of them, No other band comes across so well in a live video, even lower quality home shot videos of NW in concert captures the energy which is simply off the chart

How many bands in the credits. Do they give credit to caterers, bus drivers, outfit maker's, etc. Then the final photo shoot with the crowd. Something that is special. They don't edit out the mistakes. Floor almost missing her mark. After outfit change during this show. Marko forgetting his lines. In the Buenos Aires concert. So he improvise with "fuck me". Tuomas having a little to much wine. An ripping his shirt off. Then there's Floor busting her ass on stage. After taking a bad step. Then the constant practical joke's. Both on and off stage.

When one sees her interaction with the individual band members, Floor makes a great contribution through her both musical and technical qualities. And with this song Nightwish ended the Wacken 2013 festival!! At this point, no one outside Nightwish knew that both Floor and Troy had become permanent members. This concert were on the 3. of August - but Floor and Troy sign the papers in june 2013 - but it was made public until October 2013, when the tour ended - a year after Floor jumped in. After this tour, Floor used the next two years to finish her work with her own band ReVamp (including their last DVD), some work with Ayreon, Russell Allen and others - and she went to the studio with Nightwish and recorded the first album with songs written to her voice 'Endless forms most beautiful'. There are som super interesting videos of 'the making of endless forms most beautiful' - which shows much deeper in details how they work, and how professional they all are, how Floor couldn't stay away, turned up early, already having learned the song. Super interesting videos. And she also met Hannes and got married in the period 2013 - 2015. And the fan base exploded...
