Slaying the dreamer would be great to pair up like this... Personally I think Tarja wins the contest in both planet hell and slaying the dreamer, but I think it's awesome that they gave those songs new life with Floor!

As far as Planet Hell goes it was Floors very first show and she does very well, I imagine if there was a more recent version with a more settled-in Floor the results would be spectacular. As for Slaying the Dreamer I respectfully disagree, Floor brings far more nuance and aggression to her performance of that and I believe that is what is required for that particular song.

For another double dose, "She's my sin" is a must. One of their best songs, an absolute classic from Wishmaster album and a perfect way to contrast the two voices. This was an interesting choice, Taria's last Nightwish concert and Floor's first. I was just thinking that the only reason Floor could join Nightwish was she had shut down Revamp because of burnout. It is amazing just how fantastic she is doing now because she took some time off to heal. Hopefully Marko will come back better than ever also.

She actually continued with Revamp before shutting it out after she joined Nightwish, since she had a tour pending. She had to choose and ultimately chose Nightwish which was the logical decision, since ReVamp was her band anyway

Would really like to see you do double feature on "Dead Boys Poem". It's my favorite ballad-type NW song. It's a Tarja-song for me (her voice in this song is just incredible), but Floor obviously does a great job as well, as always.

FINALLY! I have been waiting for this reaction ❤️ one of the best NW songs ever. Both singers sing it well. And they are both different and unique on their own. I recently watched the documentary "Learn the setlist in 48 hours" (found on KZbin) and that documentary really sheds light to this performance of Floor. It's about how Anette left the band and they had contacted Floor and asked her if she could come and do the rest of the tour. So her learning the whole setlist in 48 hours and singing that song that well is simply amazing. Hope you watch it. Opened my eyes to the quick change..

I think it's really cool that you decided to do a double reaction. Nightwish has 9 studio albums, 5 with Tarja, 2 with Anette and 2 with Floor. If you reacted only to the current versions with Floor, you would never know the band's work completely. The three vocalists are part of the group's history and recorded wonderful things with Nightwish. There are several iconic Tarja performances. I will suggest two: "The phantom of the Opera", a live performance recorded on the DVD "End of an era", and "Supremacy", a live performance recorded at Woodstock in 2016. This last performance is from Tarja's solo career . Thanks!

Next double header. Slaying the Dreamer. If you haven’t heard it, you’re in for a treat. It’s a heavy song. There is an Annette version of Planet Hell that is pretty good as well. One of my favorite solo songs Tarja did is I Walk Alone. It was clearly a response to her being fired from the band and IMO among her best. I’m not a super huge fan of Tarjas solo work but then a again Tuomas set a very high bar when it comes to writing for her voice.

slayer the dreamer double reaction as others have mentioned is a great way to go, the more nightwish the better ;) if you havent check out phantom of the opera or wishmaster from end of an era concert, i highly recommend both. tarja kills it in them and marko absolutely demolishes phantom of the opera. always a pleasure hearing your thoughts about their stuff, hope youre doing well!

When ever I see a video from that Tarja's last concert, I am wondering what they guys were thinking or did they block it all out while playing. I also read that Marko was not feeling well then, and Jukka had a migraine, and after the concert they gave Tarja the letter. Of course that was the concert that was recorded for the DVD

Double reactions are great! Floor was good but she probably sings it way better now, in my opinion this performance was not at her usual level (which is fine, given it was her first show) Regardless, I have to say this song belongs to Tarja, it's hard to imagine anyone else nailing it as she does, it's perfect for her style of singing. BTW, the keyboard solo in the Floor version is not the original, as you may have noticed, Tuomas likes to mixing it with different songs, in this case Stargazers and Gethsemane.

Without commenting about the lead singers, this song is one of Tuomas best, combines classical vocals, then orchestra, then a drum solo and lead up to bringing in the rest. It makes you think you just went from a metal concert to a symphony, then to an opera and back again

"Save a penny for the ferryman" also refers to your fee for Charon (ferryman) after death to cross over the river Styx in Greek mythology. Without a penny you cannot cross the river which surrounds the Underworld. The Greek tradition was to place a coin in the deceased's mouth before burial to pay Charon for the crossing. Great song and wise choice "not to choose". Respect to Tarja, but that was Floor's 1st time singing this song and I love the more belting rock style much more. Just my humble opinion.
