The original version of ghost love score has more choirs and orchestra than the version of Floor. The two versions are excellent, but different. Ghost love score has a sad and melancholy lyrics, and the original version maintains that mood until the end. Floor changed that a little by adding that high note at the end, giving a powerful ending. This ending does not exist in the first version. In the album, the music just fades slowly along with the choirs and the orchestra. Curiosity: Tarja was ill when she recorded the DVD "End of an Era" and was advised by doctors not to sing that day.

When I first heard this version of this song, it immediately felt "right", like this was exactly how it was meant to sound. I didn't even know the band or the singers then, but I loved the intensity, the drive, the truly threatening phantom, everything. This was over a decade ago and it still remains the right one for me.

I found this group through this song and fell in love with them. I was obsessed with the Phantom of The Opera Movie at the time and listening to everything even closely related to it. I kind of wonder how many fans they got to watch or listen to the soundtrack or the opera because of this song?

I have watched the broadway "Phantom of the Opera" and this cover is more intense in my opinion although I watched it via youtube video. I can't imagine how it was hearing it live in the concert!

As a theater and a rock music fan I really like that Nightwish does do these types of songs and did this song specifically. I was into theater/broadway music before Nightwish, but Nightwish made me take more notice of it. Also I was into the broadway musical 'Wicked' at the time I was introduced to Nightwish and 'Defying Gravity' the best song from 'Wicked' has a similar feel without the guitars being as intense. Anyway as always great reaction!

In my opinion tarja will always be the best singing songs from oceanborn and wishmaster. Those songs sound perfect with an operatic voice. Floor is great in all of them though.

One of my favorite performances by Tarja, hands down. Planet Hell being the next on my list for Tarja songs, Sirens following that. Amazing reaction, totally the only way to hear this song is through a Nightwish change up like this lol. Can I make a suggestion? No need to react, but you will love the album version they did of this song. IMO, Marko’s vocals get even crazier at the end in that version. He does this growl scream that gives me goosebumps every time 🥰

There are songs that will be always Tarja's and songs that are 100% Floor's, like Ghost love score! And I am 100% Team Tarja, but Floor shines brighter in Ghost Love score! For more Tarja do "Sleeping Sun" "Nemo" "Wishmaster" and I strongly recommend Within Temptation ft. Tarja with "Paradise"!

if you do like Tarja with nightwish, here's some good ones: (NOT ranked, just listed) 1. End of an Era (her last concert with nightwish, hard to find good quality and the entire concert, as it gets taken down) 2. Phantom of the Opera (her duet with Marco, really good, both of them together, this song was actually used in the Phantom of the Opera remake movie in 2004) 3. Wishmaster 4. Planet Hell (marco sings in this song as well) 5. End of All Hope 6. Dead Boy's Poem 7. Nemo (watch the official music video, NOT her concert performance of it, as it's really good, this is probably what got most of us older fans of nightwish, hooked to nightwish and her, after finding/watching this song by her and nigthwish) 8. A prominent opera singer/vocal coach and YT reactor Elizbeth Zaroff, "The Charismatic Voice", who fell in love with Floor 1st time listening (GLS) reacted to Phantom to hear Tarja for the 1st time. She liked Tarja a lot but said that Marko totally surprised her. And I though an opera singer would not like Marko's vocals on Phantom.

To be honest Floor has taken Ghost Love Score now her own, making Tarja's Live version of the song pretty but comparatively lame. If You'd like to see Tarja (and Marko) in Flames, check her version of Slaying the Dreamer Live: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qne2opSCgL2trbs Floor's version Live in Buenos Aires is different but IMHO not any better. ; )

Respect the original and love floor as much as you want. I love them both because both are unique. And because I am a true nightwish fan.
