Laudato si Ad astra means Praise be to the stars. The song is about Eugene Shoemaker was a planetary scientist and is the only human to have his ashes burned on the moon.
@e.g.forin-stance52623 жыл бұрын
It is two separate sentences. Laudato Si = Praise to You Ad Astra = To the stars They are praising Eugene Shoemaker, not the stars.

I wonder what Eugene would have thought of this wonderful tribute to him and his work? Having been a follower of his for many years, I can honestly say he would be both honored and humbled.

Oh, come on Nigel! You can't ask us what song is our favourite!😜 You already know the Army's running joke: 🤔Q:"What's your fav NW song?" 😏A:"Yes" Anyways, I think you'll really like "Music" and fall in love with "How's the Heart" (for this one there's also the acoustic version. I dare to suggest a back-to-back reaction with lyrics video first and the acoustic immediately after: a true emotional crescendo. Greetings! 👋🇮🇹🖖

This is off their new album . This was hard for Floor until the orchestra got involved. They only have lyrics because they didn't do their tour last yr. Marco Floor and Troy do the harmonies and growls in Tribal. The speaking part was done by Tuomas's wife Johanna. She is a good singer also. This is Tuomas's respect for Eugene Shoemaker.

endlessness and pan are my two favourites from this particular album. with that said, i think you will really enjoy hows the heart and you should definitely do lyric vid/acoustic vid back to back in one sitting. both are excellent for different reasons. very glad youre enjoying nightwish as much as you are; they're truly a one of a kind group and i could not be happier that im finally giving them the attention i should have given them years ago. much love nigel!

Please do How's the heart. Also lyric video from the same album. From Wikipidia: Eugene Merle (Gene) Shoemaker (April 28, 1928 - July 18, 1997) was an American geologist and one of the founders of the field of planetary science. He co-discovered Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 with his wife Carolyn S. Shoemaker and David H. Levy. He is actually the only one buried on the moon. How cool is that?

@@nigelbattle They’ve actually recorded an acoustic version of “How’s the Heart” at Planet Rock - a lot of people actually think that the acoustic version is even better than the album version :) What I’ve seen several reactors/vocalists do, that actually works really well, is to do a double reaction - reacting to both the album- and acoustic version. That way you can really see how brilliantly they’ve remade the song, in order for a Nightwish song to work as an acoustic - they don’t exactly usually do minimalistic songs, instrument-wise ;) It’s a short song, by Nightwish standards - so it wouldn’t be a super long video for you to edit or anything. Please, it would be really cool! :P Oh, and sorry for making such a long-ass comment >.

You don't need no recommendation for the new album (Human//Nature) you can easily do ALL the songs and in the album order. The Music in this album is no Noise, as you experienced with Shoemaker, it will make you Harvest enough happy thoughts to make you fly with peter Pan. You might even wonder How's the Heart ? with this Procession of Tribal emotions. But don't worry, you just experienced Endlessness. ;)

This song is what Floor bought her 6,000$ microphone for (which you now see prominently featured in her covers). She wasn't satisfied with the initial studio recordings of the end part, bought that mic and recorded it at home.

Hey Nige, this might be an opportune moment to once again request A Lifetime of Adventure from Tuomas' solo album. The connection to Shoemaker? Tuomas' wife, Johanna, who recites the Shakespeare bit here is the vocalist on it. Trust me, this is not a Linda McCartney situation - her voice is breathtaking. And so is the song. In fact, I'll offer you a guarantee: if you DON'T like the song, I'll mail you some delicious Finnish chocolate Poste Restante.
