Marco in his book told that Jukka has a bit more old fashioned style of drumming where as Kai is more contemporary. By that he didn't mean to say which is better, just that there is a difference between them. I absolutely love watching Kai's drum cams, he is a Beast.

Kai Hahto truly is one of the greatest and most hard working drummers there is. I recommend to see the drumcam video of Sons of Winter and Stars and afterwards the live rehearsal video of the song. He is the storm, and the calm at the center at the same time. He has been doing this for about 40 yrs. No nonsense, no theatrics, stripped back. Utterly solid. Jukka is a swashbuckling pirate. A lot of style. Lock up your daughters. I foolishly hope that one day Nightwish will be a TWO drummer band. A girl can dream, can't she? I deal with insomnia every day. It has ruined my life. It's one of the reasons I'm on disability. I have no idea how Jukka kept at it for so long.

💜 I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting Jukka, in 2012, and he was so damn cool. He & Kai are incredible drummers, but I do miss Jukka's showmanship. But I love the fact that Jukka chose Kai to be his replacement.

Nice! This is a great song for a drum cam. I also do highly recommend checking out the song in general. It is definitely one of their best songs in my opinion. Now, I have to admit, I say that about almost every Nightwish song, but you get my point I think. :)

Kai is very technical drummer. Jukka and Kai are very good drummers and very difrent. If You want see more complex drummwork try Wintersun - Son of winter and stars (drum cam).

UTA is a Canadian traditional power metal band so the drumming has to be on point.
