Wacken is in northern Germany...it's the biggest metal fest on the planet. This show is awesome from start to finish, and Floor is incredible. They're currently touring the US now, and headed to the UK later this year. They'll also be doing Wacken again this summer. If you can, go see them while they're in the UK...this tour is a compilation of 2 decades worth of material that covers their whole catalog, and the venues are pretty small (around 2000 seats here in the US), so you'll get a great view of the band. You picked up some great insights into symphonic metal, it is big & bombastic, very Wagnerian (if that's a word). The "gold standard" song to react to from this show is probably Ghost Love Score; it's the best one for showing Floor's versatility. She can easily goes from classical/opera to rock, with her famous awesomely high and powerful belted notes, and the little "Floorgasms" she put in here and there.

Wacken = Hamburg, Germany. I'm from Australia. Working my ass off for a year and going to the other side of the world to hit up Wacken in 2010 was the best decision I have ever made in my life. I'm a regular festival attender in Australia and nothing compares to the atmosphere, bands, people and fans who make Wacken the surreal experience that it is. Thanks guys (to the worldwide metal community), been my home and family for a very long time.

Those pipes hide three keyboards the Metal Mozart and Nightwish Founder, Tuomas Holopainen, plays. That's all they do. Dutch Soprano Floor Jansen is the third frontwoman after Finnish co-founder Tarja Turunen and Swedish pop singer Anette Olzon. Tragically, our Nightwish Mother, Ann Waychoff, passed away last January. This was her most favorite song.

Thank you so much for reacting to Nightwish! They have had 3 singers, but I prefer this one. Her name is Floor Jansen. As you listen to other songs with her you will find that she has an amazing voice with incredible range. The keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen composes about 95% of their music. May I suggest Ghost Love Score or Everdream from Wacken 2013.( by the way Wacken festival is in Germany) Some other songs from their newer album and subsequent tour Endless Forms Most Beautiful, would be The Greatest Show on Earth(it is twenty-four minutes long,but well worth it) or Poet and the Pendulum performed at Barona Arena at Tamere, Finland. I just went to their Decades tour a week ago. They are doing a compilation of their songs from the beginning to the present.The album has the original singers of the songs. But of course we get to hear Floor sing them in the live performances. They started here in the US. They were absolutely amazing. It was my first time seeing them. Sorry, I am done ranting. I am glad you liked the song and I will be waiting for the next reaction.

You looked so amazingly intrigued, then as you grew into the song could see you were really enjoying it. A very honest review. Ghost Love Score is a lot slower but one of their best. Floors vocals really shown off in that song. Give "Yours is an Empty Hope" a go if you like heavy 😜 Wacken a festival in Germany by the way. It's mega!

Floor Jansen is a Dutch singer and Wacken is a small town in the North of Germany. There's also an Irish guy in the band called Troy Donockeley. ( hope I spelled his name right) great comments and I hope to see more of Nightwish . Everdream and storytime are some of my favorite...... also from the Wacken festival.

Its older nightwish but you should go check out The Poet and the pendulum and The Phantom of the Opera. Ghost Love score is a slow burner, but just wait until the last couple of minutes, will blow your socks off!

Jim this song is actually longer. You need to listen to a studio version to hear the whole song. The original was sang by Annette the second singer of Nightwish. The second part is really cool with someone reciting the lyrics with music in the background. Let me know what you think if you get the chance. :-)

This song is perfectly executed by Floor. Originally sang by Nightwish singer no2 Anette. I prefer Floor for all post-Tarja's songs. But, Tarja's songs no one can sing like Tarja herself.
