The clowns were from the Scaretale portion of the Imaginaerum movie. Yes, they made a movie. They toured a greatest hits album to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 1st album in 2018. New album supposed to come out next year.

I love Anette's voice and albums so much, but yet I think also Floor is the best female vocalist in this Universe! Floor's live singing is very close to studio level singing. I haven't heard Floor singing the Meadows of Heaven or Eva, but even is I will hear them someday I think that Anette's voice suits better to those songs - not 100% sure, but I think so. She sings those ballads soooo beautifully! Nightwish are on their summer camp in Kitee, Finland at the moment rehearsing, arranging and recording their new album songs which will be released on spring 2020. In some point on the fall they will go to London, Abbey Road Studios again where they record the orchestrations with London Philharmonic Orchestra and mister Pip Williams.

Can I just say how nice it is to have someone politely appreciate the guys for their looks, when so many reactions include a ton of borderline-creepy drooling over Floor? Thank you for diversifying it a bit. Enjoy that Disney Cruise (the Disney Fantasy is a lovely ship and the cruise experience is one I’ll always remember), and definitely check out Tuomas’ Scrooge album at some point - it’s really really good.

Clowns or no clowns, this is a perfect time to share what Steve Harris, the founder, principal composer & bassist/keyboardist of the world's all time greatest metal band IRON MAIDEN said about Tuomas Holopainen & Nightwish with Anette in 2015 before he had heard their latest album "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" with Floor on vocals: “When I heard [2007’s] Dark Passion Play, I couldn’t believe it. I thought, ‘Now, this is a proper fucking album.’ It’s got everything bar the kitchen sink in there. It was controversial because of the new singer Anette Olzon, but she was brilliant. No disrespect to Tarja, but Anette’s voice suited them a lot better. There’s heavy stuff, classical, even a bit of Disney - all kinds of shit in there. I think it’s one of the best-sounding albums I’ve ever heard in my life. Then I got the next one, [2011’s] Imaginaerum. Storytime is a fantastic, instant song. The rest of the album took me a while to get into. Dark Passion Play was so good, I thought there was no way they could ever come up with an album that’s anywhere near that, but the more I got into Imaginaerum, the more I loved it. The reason you see so many Nightwish live recordings of Anette with iffy vocals is that most of them are from years 2007-2009 when they toured like crazy. Anette was not a professional singer before Nightwish so the whole touring overall was new to her and Nightwish's tour schedule was way harder than it ever has been with Tarja or Floor so for a new singer on her first tour it was very taxing on the voice. The band members were sick a lot and you can hear the tiredness even in Marco's vocals who at the time had been doing touring for 25+ years. When Anette is not sick or voice gone her voice is actually very powerful 80s style rock, it's not a light poppy voice as many say.

@@exoticmaniac3024 Yeah, I'm getting tired of people comparing Anette videos where she's barely sang a year professionally on a tour with minimal off days to Tarja and Floor on special gigs before many off days and rest. Tarja and Floor never had to go through a tour like Dark Passion Play, the whole band was so broken after that tour and swore to never do one like that again. I wish reactions would take these things into account but I guess you can't expect that lol. :)

Some people have seen Toumas start a concert/video with his hat on,and they go: "Captain Jack Sparrow!". Jukka is defintly (another) Pirate. Most from the Nightwish Army calls Emppu the Hobbit (because hes so much smaller then the others,and you allways see him goofing around,doing monkey buisness) Marco is the definite Viking. Floor has been called things like Amazon Goddess/Norse Goddess,Xenia The Warrior Princess,Wonderwoman to name a few. (Because she is that tall,and is a real powerhouse) Not updated yet on Kai or Troy though. Troy could certainly go for one of the Wizards from Lord Of The Rings,maybe the one that controls the animals lol. Im sure thoose 2 got even better suggestions allready. Tuomas too

This is my favorite song and I enjoy listening to it on repeat. On the other hand, Annette sounds like a chipmunk :(. The good version is from Wacken.

New stuff coming NEXT YEAR, Yay! And 'twas me my friends that suggested Tuomas's "A Lifetime of Adventure" from his "The Life and Times of Scrooge (McDuck)" It is really beautiful. You will like it. As for the Storytime video, it was taken from completed & behind the scenes "making of" footage for Nightwish's "Imaginaerum" movie that they premiered at the end of their 2012-13 tour.

Love this song. This is one of the few I think I prefer Annette's version over Floors, even though Floor's version is great. Just my take. Love the reaction. On a side note: Hannibal Lector doesn't like clowns either...says they taste funny.

lol Marco is not a Dwarf -- he's almost as tall as Tuomas and Floor. He's a viking. Emppu is the dwarf. I've met them all several times. He's the shortest. Tuomas is the wizard/composer/Jack Sparrow (He used to have a Jack Sparrow doll attached to his keyboard stands. Hehe)

Dont you 2 worry about Floor. Tuomas stated that "Floor is the last vocalist for Nightwish". People sort of wonder what he means by that. If Nightwish will go up in smoke if she decides to leave and all that. The way i have learned to read his statements,i think he means "We found perfection in Floor,we got even better on and off stage chemistry,joy,creativity together with her,then we have ever had before". And that he knows Floor so good,he believes she will stay with them,until they decide to call it a day as a band. Tuomas just loves to play with words in his statements,interviews. To make the media and the people wonder excactly what he means. And its usually less drastic then people tend to fear lol. I appreciate the effort to not compare the singers,treat Annette with respect. Its allways a stomped hornets nest aftermath going on in the comment sections,when people prefer this singer over the other lol. And i mean,i do feel for Annette at the point when she got "booted". Because her main worry was that she wouldnt be able to feed,take care of her kids financially. I respect that. But she threw some shade at Floor and the guys too,with a salty statement like "Rihanna wouldnt ask Britney Spears to replace her,and finish the tour/concerts,while she layed sick in the hospital". Now,i respected every singer before that. Even Tarja,as we will never truly know everything that happened. But with Annette,to go out like that,then being so back and fourth,before she halfway admitted to certain stuff,i dont like Annette too much. And her vocals cant hold for 50% of a metal song. Live performances with Annette? They allmost dont exist.....for a reason. No matter what the Annette fans say. Its not just a personal taste or opinion,its a sad fact. She sounds amazing in the video for Amaranth f.ex. But yeah,she is more suitable for pop.....pop-rock.

Much preferred the material during her time, Tuomas created two masterpieces, and knew full well how to make her voice work. Still waiting for Floor to have awesome new material. I love each singer the same, and that comment was spot on, they each generally sound better on the songs written for them. I will concede that GLS and a few others have been taken to a new level by Floor. Storytime.....Anett all the way please.

I feel bad for Anette. I love DPP and Imaginarium hugely!! What is so sad is that Toumas wanted to go in a new direction and the backlash has been awful. Some of these comments about Anette are attacks on him as well. One only listens to Auri, The Scrooge soundtrack, or Elan to see what he wanted.

Well, I guess you probably shouldn't show her scaretale. 😂 Marko is too tall to be a dwarf btw. lol He's either a wizard or a viking, but wow doesn't have vikings, so I guess it has to be a wizard. Emppu in WoW would have to be a gnome or dwarf, but he's not "thick" enough to be a dwarf I think. I have to stay out of the who's better than who argument because I've already taken enough heat for expressing my opinion that Floor is better than Anette. Oopsss, I did it anyway. 😂 Yes, Floor is still with the band and they are currently working on the new album that's expected to release by next year sometime! Whoo hoo! Oh, and so far you've done 3 songs off the Endless Forms Most Beautiful album that was written for Floor. Shudder Before The Beautiful, The Greatest Show On Earth, and Yours Is An Empty Hope. 🤘👍💯

Tuomas says Floor will be the last vocalist. They did EFMB in 2015, followed by a tour, took 2017 off, a greatest hits release and tour in 2018 and currently working on the next album for a 2020 release and tour.

Nightwish is launching new album at the end of year or early at next year, so they are doing all the time...They had a world tour at last year and this year sanctified to do this new album. 2020 there will be also new world tour, I guess that example at US they have around 20 concerts. All of Nightwish members have also some own projects, example Marco just pushed out his own solo album (Later at autumn English version). Grammy the worst video yet is still Infant Annihilator's Blasphemian [OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO], I will not give you the link because I am still paying my Therapy bills trying to recover from that mess and I have seen a few messes in my time believe me!!! I knew you were in trouble Pops from the beginning, if you want to introduce Annette without the clowns you should of tried: Meadows of Heaven (kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKnWm6lsgdmFsJI) or the different Slow, Love, Slow (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmfPZXtsbZ55qq8) or The Crow, The Owl and The Dove (kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6HXaZKqhb58opI) all great ballads she does really well. Now Grammy has clowns associated with Annette and that won't do!!! To introduce Traja to Grammy you could go with; Phantom of the Opera (kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6HXaZKqhb58opI) BUT would really suggest Sleeping Sun (kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6HXaZKqhb58opI) where she can get that great operatic sound with the NW symphonic metal touch. Floor's version LIVE is better but Annette was a great studio singer and the above songs are a great example. Grammy Tarja was 1996 - 2005; Annette 2007 - 2012; Floor 2012 - ETERNITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tend to agree about the ballads. Annette fit that music better and didn't sound "pitchy" and warble. It's not that Annette is a bad singer, it's just that some of the most well liked Nightwish songs were written for Tarja and that was a high standard to reach for with Annette's vocal range. When Annette was gone, Floor came in, learned the set list and could sing both songs written for Tarja and songs written for Annette.

Im kinda hoping they will redo all the Anette songs with Floor. Especially storytime and poet and the pendulum. I like the songs but not with Anette. I only listen those songs live from Floor which are also really good since Floor sings just as good live as she does in studio. If you want to react to Floors studio voice id recommend song called Elan. I personally like it better studio since the music video is stunning.

This is comparing apples and bananas he one with Floor was live before 82,000 fans, this is a lip synched studio version and Anette always used auto tune program in the studio, and sometimes live, Floor doesn't and doesn't need too.
