@cahh_azevedo Yesterwynde is a masterpiece. Would be such a shame if we don't get to see it performed live. I can imagine it being quite a challenge to do live because of its complexity, but with their talent, I'm sure they would pull it off brilliantly. Like you say, maybe at least something like the "Islanders arms" would be welcome if touring has become an issue. If it's the last thing Nightwish ever does, it would be a spectacular way to end, right down to sound of the projector running down. ( I do, however, hope Nightwish go on for many years to come, as long as they are healthy and happy. ❤️🤘😄

Their voices do indeed blend perfectly! While I really liked how Marko's high-note singing created some really special moments using really tight, close harmonies in his vocal lines with Floor's, I also really love how well Floor's soprano and Troy's bass vocal lines really compliment each other. Great writing is great writing.

As much as I miss and love Marko's singing, I really, _really_ love how Troy uses low bass notes in his vocal lines; I love how he brings bass singing to not just this song, but also to some of the heavier songs. As a baritone/bass singer myself, I love that I can finally sing along with Troy's vocals, no matter how heavy-or-not the song is. Thank you, Nightwish!

This song... Just pulls you into a revelation, almost into an urge to live. It's just so well written and delivered, that it only made me think about the story. No one stands out on his own, and yet everything stands out . From voices to instruments, they just blend into these lyrics and melody.

My interpretation of the video: the surrounding ring and the people are part of the Yesterwynde. In the middle, on the shoulders of previous, still remembered generations, on top, are we, now, the present time. And during this short time in the light, we have a chance to see all the beauty of the world, so we must cherish it. We are under the pressure, but also the light of time, before we move into the vast timelessness.

The best song on the album is whichever one I'm listening to right now. Sway is a little overawed by some of the heavier songs, but it's still a beautiful piece. Troy works so well with Floor. They offset each other magnificently.

I love that Troy brings some bass singing to heavy music. One of my most favorite examples of bass singing in metal is Mathias Blad's vocals in the Falconer album, Armod. I also love how "folky" the melodies in the Armod record are; and that may be one of the reasons why the bass (Mathias is more a baritone, but he absolutely has some good low notes as well) singing works so well.

"Sway" invariably makes me think of a cozy, sunny autumn day, right in time for ruska, and drinking hot tea or chocolate on the porch while admiring the beauty around you (the "Adorn your garden with a perfect day" line did this to me). I may not have a porch but I did try this out on my balcony on a gorgeous September day, while listening to the song of course, and it was a wonderful experience. This piece is just so peaceful and... fulfilling, I can't put into words how much I love the part with "A grateful soul never needed much", because it's _so_ goddamn true. I want to listen to Sway when I'm an old man reminiscing on his life. That's it that's the dream.

This may very well take over EFMB as my favorite album. Its funny, as I age, so does Nightwish and they always know what I would like.........thats what t seems like. Don't get me wrong, still LOVE all the older stuff, but this record gives that Oder rock feel like Strange Islands, but then they hit you with Sway, The Weave and Lanternlight and it just fells like...(to steal lyrics from this song) HOME
