Great interview! It´s very interesting to hear Mika Jussila speaking about his personal connection to the band. I don´t understand the people who complain about the mastering or the sound in general, because I always thought: if it sounds like this, then it´s supposed to sound like this! And it sounds great in my opinion. I also think that Tuomas Holopainen is a musical genius. His songwriting abilities are incredible. The orchestral versions alone are masterpieces. Of course Nightwish is a Metal band, and I love Metal music, but it feels more like a movie soundtrack.

I'm impressed... very good interview. as a fan of Nightwish, I can state that it must be difficult to get an album together... everyone has their own opinions within the band and the recording studio... managment/ record company might be throwing their 2 cents in too, and this is all before us fans start pounding keyboards to give our 2 cents online. That said, Mika is wrong on a couple of points. Firstly, he stated if the haters don't like it, go listen to something else... but I would state as a fan, I don't want to listen to something else... I want to listen to this, lol. This is what I've been waiting for... for years. New NW music! So, it's not as easy as just go listen to something else. This band is a huge part of many people's lives and many of the NW Army take it very seriously as it is such a large part of their lives. Go listen to something else... really? Secondly, yes of course the internet has allowed every idiot, me included, lol, to have their ill-informed opinions voiced. People now have mics and platforms that really shouldn't. That said, when reactor after reactor, musician after musician, fan after fan all complain of the same thing... that the vocal mix is too low... they might be onto something, and just brushing it away with a "I don't give a F..." isn't very cool. We give a F. We give a lot of F's. He stated this wouldn't go out unless Tuomas approved it... so it is what it is. Tuomas is the Metal Mozart and if this is how he hears it in his head, then this is the way it should indeed be... I just wish Floor's vocal was a hair more front and center in his mind... Just an opinion or two from a nemo online. take it or leave it.

So, Nightwish music is all about the singer, not the band, not the music, not about the lyrics, not the story about the song ...god forbidden we don't hear her voice clearly!

I'm speaking to the mix and where the vocals sit in that mix. it's nice that you can so easily twist my words to fit your narrative, but you got it wrong. I literally stated "this band" not "this singer" in my comment. Feel free to disagree with my comment, if that's your prerogative, but don't disagree over something I never said.

Qué es eso de atmos versión? Sale diferentes versiones del disco??

La version Atmos es un mix diferente. Es el mismo album pero con sonido envolvente por asi decirlo.

Siempre sacan distintos packs, algunas ediciones incluyen un cd con los temas instrumentales, otras sólo el cd principal y por lo que dijo deduzco que va a haber una versión con 3 Cds, principal, instrumental y atmos. En la pagina de NW están todas las ediciones. En la página hay una versión con 3 Cds: Studio, Instrumental, Orchestral. "Yesterwynde, Limited Edition 3CD Earbook"

Too bad it won't be like the Oceanborn or Wismaster album. But Once was the majestic end of the old NW. So this new album will be brutal. I didn't like the new song, there's no connection. I'm bored with the repeated topic of evolution and origin of life. I hope the rest are the best on the album. Live NW. Excelent interview!

I understand. I think need to listen to song many times. I really like it more I listen. But some disagree. Remember, there are many other songs so hard to judge yet. The video is amazing though. If ever played live, would be great.
