LYRICS:
Something from the earth came
Something for the world
Mosaic of broken fragile pieces
Tesserae of the deceased
Born to a novel world
Endless chain unbroken
Silent clocks rewinding
My song it is for mankind
Embers to the stars
We are their heir, dust on their palm
We are because of a million loves
We´re the perfume of the timeless
Last sighs on a death bed
Time set
For a curious ghost
Lives lived plain and epic
Of eudaemonia
12 score and 1 chain of lives unending
Welcoming as my offspring
Walks me to the weave

I'm retired and a day drinker, so it works out just fine. Can't wait to get the whole record and play it properly. Just not the same listening on the phone. I listened to Stargazers 15 years ago, and decided to become an Astronomer. Now I'm about to complete my Ph.D. I recently gave a TEDx talk about how the Night Sky unites Humanity, and how Astronomy can foster kindness and compassion in our world, and bring people together. No matter who we are, our background, the night sky inspires us! I have the same feeling with this song, this masterpiece. Not only the Universe, Life unite us, Nightwish also unites us! Hail, Nightwish! For the countless inspirations across the world!

In order to be born you needed: 2 parents 4 grandparents 8 great-grandparents 16 second great-grandparents 32 third great-grandparents 64 fourth great-grandparents 128 fifth great-grandparents 256 sixth great-grandparents 512 seventh great-grandparents 1,024 eight great-grandparents 2,048 ninth great-grandparents For you to be born today from 12 previous generations you needed 4,094 ancestors over the last 400 years. Think for a moment about how many struggles and battles, how much sadness, happiness, love stories, and hopes for the future they have to undergo for you to exist in this present moment. You are the dream of many ancestors. And somehow, you managed to live in the same timeline as Nightwish 💖

TGSOE Outro - Dawkins: “We are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones Most people are never going to die because they are never going to be born The potential people who could have been here in my place But who will in fact never see the light of day outnumber the sand grains of Sahara Certainly those unborn ghosts include greater poets than Keats, scientists greater than Newton We know this because the set of possible people allowed by our DNA So massively exceeds the set of actual people In the teeth of these stupefying odds it is you and I, in our ordinariness, that are here We privileged few, who won the lottery of birth against all odds How dare we whine at our inevitable return to that prior state From which the vast majority have never stirred?”

The look that he gave me when he looked up at me will stick with me until I die. He looked amazed and excited and commented that it´s the most important book of our times. It was so meaningful to see it being featured in this new video. What an amazing and epic song.. Goosebumps all over. Thank you Nightwish

Are we? Really? I guess these Ancestors thought they will leave us here to make things better. They would be confused when they see the World we lie in now. The Path we are going now is dangerous. There are Evolutionbreaks who think up is down and Light is dark, that even Evolution is not real, Gender Warlords and Real Warlords. I just wonder...what will be the next Step in Human Evolution. Nightwish is a foundamental part of my journey to achieve mental health. While enduring lots of mishappenings, their music is always there as a medicine to the soul. Metal is cathartic, and when it's combined with symphony and specially bagpipes and flutes, oh dear! That's a recipe for encouragement, love and also the eagerness to go and achieve the best through talent. While I myself am on a journey of unification of cosmogonic and cosmological theories, Nightwish already has helped a lot. When human consciousness is somehow remembering and reintegrating the complexities of the reality we live, it is important to have musicians who dare to speak for humanity, even as a tharepeutical tool. We are in amazing times, and all kinds of knowledge, science, art, talent and music that can help humans remember their true origins is absolutely welcome. I just hope that this new album helps me remember the beauty of the humans as visitors and inhabitants of Teth/Gaea/Earth, so I can also cherish and appreciate the fact that I was born as a human. The human experience can be daunting and stressful, but it is also full of joy, creativity and beauty. Cheers for our ancestors of all cultures and lands. Thanks!

Growing with Nightwish's music for the past 20 years thought me the power of music storytelling, the nuances of words combined with beautifully orchestrated music, the philosophy of love, life, meaning - the past albums just brought all the great philosophies together into concept masterpieces, and this one piece brought me to tears and gave me countless goosebumps - we're not aware of the mission we carry throughout our own existence, but this is just the reminder we needed in this chaotic world we live in. the ancestors were different. Some of them were bad people, some were rapists or murderers. It's such a strange idea by Tuomas. Also, the amount of ancestors is not growing exponentially, it's absurd, there were a lot of inbreedings, also, some offsprings of one ancestor generations after could meet and give birth to the new generation. It's a scientific fact, that about 70 000 years ago, there were just 2000 ones of Homo Sapiens left.

@@Mordorian_Orque note that it doesn't specifically state your own ancestors nor human ancestors specifically and the numbers put down where a guesstimate. also doesn't state that we are a good dream. ultimately, there is innumerable & currently incalculable variables that went into our existences. just simply 1 person passing by another person on the street can be the moment that tipped the domino effect that led to your birth. one carnivorous dinosaur deciding to chase down 1 plesiadapiformes over another could have made it so humans never came into existence. just simply talking to someone will change the course of your life in ways you may never know. might just be something as small as changing the outcome of a coin flip or something as large as causing a war. in the end we are most definitely a byproduct of millions of ancestors, just not all directly related to us nor all human. we are but fleeting dreams that will influence will create more dreams and influence other dreams into becoming good dreams &/or nightmares...

As a fan of Nightwish for 20 years I can say that this song radiates pure mystique and has one of the best choruses in the history of Nightwish, it is a song with all the essence of the Nightwish that we all love, here there are vestiges of Century Child, Human . Nature, Once, Dark passion play and Imaginaerum... what more can people ask for? They chose this song to be their diffusion cut, their ''calm'' song... imagine what that album is..Few pleasures are savored more than maturing alongside Nightwish..PD:I understand what many people say about the chorus and the volume of Floor's voice (Spotify version sounds much better), but I invite you to listen to the chorus of ''Master Passion Greed'' and you will hear the same artistic intention, where the orchestra takes center stage, and the singer alone It fits... it's not an error.

The ancestors are definitely proud of you Tuomas, for creating music that you feel deep in your heart.🧡 The sound of each note moves an emotion in me and brings tears to my eyes.🤗Your creations are no longer just music, but higher art. The entire Nightwish team deserves five stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My mother and I listened to this song/video together. She loved it, and even if she doesn't know english she gets what the song was trying to say. Nightwish is the one band she would eagerly come to a concert if they came here.

What I love the most about Nightwish is that they do what it feels right for them, not what they "should" do according to people and "fans". I've been listening this song nonstop and everytime I discover something new: instruments, chorus, lyrics, rhythm, etc. I think I feel more connected with these last few albums bacause I'm no longer the same person I was 20 or 10 years ago. We all change, and that's part of our own history. I'm just glad to be living at the same time as Nightwish ❤

Yeah, "fans" should just shut their mouth, right? It's not like it's those "fans" buying albums and tickets that made the band what they are, right? Yeah, they need to shut their peasant mouths and never give their opinion on anything.

Sure you can have empathy but don't act like these years are worst.. it's not, things like this has been going on forever, it's just now that you living in it and are aware, plus you get easy access to information to those stuffs. Only in the chorus, though, but there it is really disappointing that the vocals drown in the mix. In contrast, one could argue that Troy‘s vocals in the outro are very dominant in comparison
