Keep doing what you do mate. I always watch your videos. I've been playing this game religiously for over half a decade and I am happy there are other people like me out there. DDDA is by far my favorite modern game. This current generation that forgets a game after a few months and thinks it's impressive someone still plays such a great game some years after its release is ridiculous.

The skill Great Gamble is interesting. It’s the first skill where I really felt a min/max build makes a real difference. Maybe Nihil can link the video deep dive he did on it. Having very high stamina paid real dividends. Spiral Arrow is functionally excellent. I’ve found hitting big targets in a way such that the Spiral arrow travels through a good portion of their body, made a difference. So hit the Chimera in the head, and travel through to the tail. Or cyclops, an arm and torso. However, constantly entering inventory to swap in/out arrows throws my rhythm off. I eventually give up on this great skill because of that. Go for crippling, and avoid repetitive pausing. Instant Reset is amazing. Keeps you on you feet and mobile. Besides Dazzle Blast, Ranger’s dagger skills aren’t good. Ten-Fold Arrow is just too good to pass up. Auto-include. Deathly Arrow is decent damage and knockdown, but is really fun to use, because you have to time your release with the meter reaching max, to get full effect, and a satisfying animation. Great Gamble, as mentioned, with high stamina, is OP. Build for it.

I did a short video with Great Gamble min/max about a year ago. You can one shot Living Armor and do a lot of dragons with 2 or 3 shots. Not Ur Dragon though. What about like the DLC gear you get at the beginning? It's got that blue aura around it and the description seems to suggest that the gear is special in some way. Do they do anything special other than raise stats?

@@nate-paulcallicoat6133 those armors do nothing, they are just high stat armor at the start of the game. The BBI Cursed Armors have boosts and buffs and the Black Cat Weapons have awesome bonuses but not much else with the other armors of the game

It's a timing based skill and you need to release it at the right moment to get out to highest possible damage also the part where you hit a monster with it let the damage vary

Hi. Love that your channel has all these videos showcasing the potential of this game! A question for you, sir: Did you ever get a chance to play the MMO that ran from 2015-2019? Was wondering if you ever made a video with your opinion of it. I know the mmo is shut down. I'm just curious what you might have thought. Yea, it was exclusive to Japan region only, but....there's usually ways around that ;D

Played it for about a year. Overall I liked it, but there was a lot that I didn't like. I was unable to record it due to vpn and other tricks, my recorder wouldn't enable in those conditions

Ranger is a fantastic class and I think possibly capable of the most damage in the game, but I've never been able to really get behind the playstyle just because of the slightly more limited mobility. Personally I leave the class to pawns at this point, some are so ridiculously overpowered you can just sit back and watch them carve through the whole game.
