@@jaw1002 That's not why they had to go. Whether they died or cut themselves off from the Force, Kreia would have preferred the latter, Nihilus could feed on them. She tells you in the enclave if you killed them that for them to remain, to have people with such powerful connections to the Force to remain is too dangerous. Kreia doesn't hold vendettas. Even if the council thought that the Exile was feeding off entire planets, there wouldn't be anything to gain from killing them for that reason.

Hardly any of the Sith do. In fact, the teachings of the Sith are just power. The Sith Code itself never said what you had to do to get, you just do. The Sith reality pretty much eclipses the ever evolving teachings that lead up to Darth Bane’s successful Rule of Two as he knew how the Dark Side and that the Sith wouldn’t be to sustain itself as a true order, so destroyed the others and turned it into a lineage. That’s the what the Sith was always destined to be, Two there always is, no more no less, a master to embody the power and an apprentice to crave it. This is the way of the Dark side.

They spend so much time talking about him during the game, about how he can eat entire worlds, and it makes you wonder what a process like that would look like. This is as good a demonstration of that as we could possibly get. It makes you wonder if a being like him even needs a lightsaber.

Thanks man that means a lot! I feel like Nihilus faces unknowns. His hunger cant be controlled or directed so at times he may still be vulnerable. Perhaps when he sensed Visas Marr had survived, the only survivor on a dead world he was unsure if she was a threat or not.

@Colesia Sidious may not be stronger, but he wont lose to him, Nihilus is a one trick pony, (hes not as skilled as Malgus, not even close.) most modern jedi and sith know force sever and force protection, all one has to do is cut themselves off from the force, to be immune to his drain, or cut Nihilus off from the force, or use protect on him. Lots of way to keep him from getting fed, and iff you know its coming, hes fodder to even Knight level jedi and sith.

You have no purpose, just to satisfy your own hunger and that's it. At least Sion has its own conflict. He's angry that Treya chose some girl over him. His immortality became his own curse and in the end he preferred to die rather than continue such a terrible life full of pain and suffering, although it makes him immortal. And you were defeated by Mitra Surik only because you got in her way and had to get rid of you. You are undoubtedly scary and effective, your abilities are impressive, but for this universe you are a complete zero and even Jar Jar makes more sense than you. Again, don't be offended by my words, I just think it's impossible to make more content about you. After all, as a character with your own conflict, with your own story, you do not carry any semantic load, so there is so little content on Nihilus.

It's definitely a haunting visage. It was, funnily enough, inspired by No Face from Hyao Miyazaki's animation, Spirited Away. The designer said he wanted an image that will seem like a nightmare, and No Face had that feel, so he designed Nihilus around that.

Yes! I completely agree, I started writing that exact plot a few weeks ago, it would be a lot of work. I imagine seeing the last second of the war frozen in time showing the horrors of battle on both sides, only for time to unfreeze as the planet collapses in on it's self with Jedi Nihilus barely surviving the event. He wakes to the sounds of screams building on each other until everything around him withers.

Short Version: Jedi survivor from Malachor V's literal collapsing in on itself (on orders from Revan and activated by both the Exile and Bao-Dur) who only survived by literally feeding off the life of others, like some demented Force Vampire. He used his powers to bring about a fleet full of near-dead crew specifically designed to help traverse him across the galaxy, consuming anything that is a thriving beacon in the force. Katarr was where the Jedi Council convened to try and figure out where the Sith were attacking them from, and the planet was a colony for a race known to see through the force. To say that it was like a beacon for a moth would be an understatement. While we never see him eat the planet in game, Visas, Kreia, and one other NPC fill in the gaps to flesh out what exactly he is...probably because he's a literal force of nature that only speaks gibberish

The hairs from my arms and back just fell off. This is incredible. I remember being particularly affraid of fighting this guy when I was a kid. I knew the Main character was special but I thought all the other party members were just gonna get their life sucked out of them, and I was fond of them. Visas's voicelines brought back all that fear, it's amazing.
