Nihon Hidankyo wins Nobel Peace Price 2024 for fight against nuclear weapons | DW News

The Norwegian Nobel Committee has awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to the Japanese anti-nuclear group Nihon Hidankyo. It represents the survivors of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 and has used their testimony to campaign for a nuclear-free world. The Nobel Committee said it was honouring the group for helping to build the global taboo against the use of nuclear weapons.

Why do they not show the speech of the Nobel peace winners? Because they denounce Gaza genocide and say they expected UNWRA and Palestinian groups to win? Most strange reporting I have seen, to show the announcement of the winner, but not the winners or what they have to say. The highlight is the Norwegian announcer or the winner?

Heartfelt congratulations to Mr Nihon - San and his teams for this outstanding achievement. The second world war has had a devastating effect on many families residing in Asia at that time and the ending to this war in Japan, was disproportionate. Let us hope that accordingly an apology can be given to the prisoners of war who survived the Japanese Prisoners of War camps, a hope from my late mother and grandmother, grandfather and great aunt, all of whom were privileged like you, to survive the brutality, of the camps. May God bless his peacemakers💜🦌🙏
