@@SundayAutumneveryone’s braids are beautiful period. u act like it’s offensive to tell a non black person that their braids look beautiful. as if nobody tells yall anything, a lot of people praise black people. you act like its offensive for non blacks to wear braids. it’s not unless you want to think that because anybody can braid their hair. anybody can do how they want their hair to look like. I’m getting sick and tired of people who act like they’re the only ones who can braid hair. it’s annoying and grow up. you should be worrying about other thing than this it’s sad really this comment was just saying she looks beautiful because it’s something new she tried and it looks great. you just made it complicated and this poor girl just made a compliment and you made the black community come into this just because she complimented a girl with braids you should be proud that other people like your hairstyles because you wouldn’t want to see someone refusing to wear your hairstyles because they think their ugly that would bring so much hate to everybody so be happy non blacks are wearing these kinds of hairstyles it’s something you and the black community should be proud of

@@apxrilluchiss you’re so ignorant you don’t even know or you do but your comment scream racism and looks like you pissed that Black people are being celebrated and complimented when in fact we faced so much horror. The braid hairstyle she wore aren’t just braids it’s part of BLACK/AFRICAN culture it has history, we have specific type of braids, it isn’t just braids it has history. You being very disrespectful with dismissing why we don’t agree with her culture appropriating our hair culture. She doesn’t look good with, it isn’t also made for her hair type she aint black. Those braids are BLACK braids not just some dutch braids or whatever. Non-black and white people always want to wear black/african braid hairstyles that we created for our culture and hairtypes. Never braids of y’all culture! Yet y’all always want to steal and rip things from us we cant never have our own things. Idc what makes you sick or tired. You showed your racist true color by your comment. Us Black community don’t own y’all sh*t! So don’t talk about we should be grateful about people appropriating our culture and hairstyles!

When it comes to hair ties….I just use the silk or satin scrunchies. I feel like regardless hair ties aren’t the best for any type of hair, and if you Kevan them in long enough they create a dent in your hair which I personally hate. With a silk or satin hair scrunchie, I mean they say silk and satin is better for our hair in general so using a scrunchie in that material……so helpful.

As long as you're not racist to black people and acknowledge that braids were created by black people then I don't think it's wrong to do braids if you're not black but tbh black people have the right to feel uncomfortable if non black people do braids because for years braids were looked down on as ghetto.

@@astrid7740how you’re half Black and you’re dad half Black which one is it? What’s the truth?! Are you a Black Honduran or a Non-black one because being Honduran, having dark/brown/tan skin doesn’t mean you’re Black! Are you or aren’t you Black if yes you can wear Black hairstyles if you’re not Black it’s simple as why “this Black girl” would say you’re culture appropriating also lots of people lie about being afro-latina/Black to participate in appropriating Black culture especially Black women’s culture. “My great great grandfather’s mother was Black type of bullshit excuse/lie” Nicki is not a Black Latina so why do YOU feel spoken at for people calling her rightfully for cultural appropriation?! It’s like you’re thinking that people are falsely accusing her cause she latina and you share the same experience or what, if both of y’all aren’t Black or Black latina’s stop wearing our culture then!

@@chizzy-y7sshe probably thought a non-black person was wearing braids and felt some type of way (which she had the right to ) it’s not like it’s not happening or that she’s crazy and most people are racist to Black people and hate so stop with the gaslighting of our experiences, you’re not getting a cookie for playing the good token Black person like stop with minimising the situation it’s not like the Black woman attacked or got crazy aggressive…

@AniMorcito6 ай бұрын
Im afro latina so I’ve never had this dilemma, but cultural appropriation is like white people wearing indigenous inspired clothes for halloween etc. Many indigenous people have been mistreated, hurt, raped, even killed due to racism, so for a race that could never understand what its like to live in that to wear it like its their own with no respect as a costume especially is highly offensive. Meanwhile you are just a girl who appreciates the beauty of a hairstyle from another culture and you would wear it proudly, also you know where it comes from and you are also a minority which gives you a different level of understanding. ❤ its all love. Get the braids sis 👏 ❤
@shalbec32326 ай бұрын
@@AniMorcito culture appropriation is also white people wearing African or black hairstyles especially if the style was made by indigenous ppl. Most none ppl only want to do african/black hairstyles because they find it aesthetic not because they want learn about the history behind the styles Every black/african hairstyles has a story behind them and they all go back to slavery
