Great message! There was a12 yr old girl working in our neighbour's house. She had been hired from an agency but sadly the old woman did not give her decent clothes and good food. She used to eat scraps from the dustbin. I did report to the child care NGO but nothing happened.

This reminds me so much of what happened when I was in India for my brother's wedding in 1998. My late grandfather was a big-shot millionaire. His grandson, my cousin, was a spoilt toxic brat. By comparison, his sister can only be described, as another Mother Theresa- and I mean that in every sense of the word. He used to ill-treat and humiliate the servants and their children all the time. I once caught him sexually harassing a female servant and he only stopped when I caught him. I told him that one day we would meet again and I would give him the beating of his life. I had caused uproar a few days previously when I invited the servant's children to eat with us. My cousin went crazy saying that the untouchables must not come to the family dinner table. I shook hands with them and insisted they ate with us as my guest. I asked the servants why they put up with him. They said they needed the money. When I left I got all my Indian money together and worked out that by the time I converted it to UK money it would be worthless. My Dad is a doctor so we decided to do something. We went to their children's school and paid for their education until they were 18. We also gave the servants 1 year's earnings, went to their landlord and gave him a year's rent in advance. I also took them to a 5-star hotel for all-you-can-eat. We could do that because we had English earnings. My late grandfather was extremely proud. My cousin was furious. I can't go to India again because in 2012 I rescued two girls from forced marriage. I gave their fathers a real beating and put them in hospital. If I ever go back I will be arrested for serious assault.
