You always were a genius, Nik. I've been listening to you for 30 years, but it doesn't matter if people have been listening to you for 30 minutes, as long as they appreciate greatness when they see it. My favourite will always be 'So Quiet', it still makes me wonder how somebody could create something like that.

He was years ahead of his time... Outclassed his peers and was possibly too talented for the industry at the time... However, he is gaining popularity by word of mouth, through youtube and other similar things. So instead of simply listening to the hype, following the latest trend or the current must listen chart stuff that clogs up the radio and music stores... those who discover him become fans simply by listening to his music - the way it should be! Talent rules not advertising!

I will never understand, how as a Nik fan in the 80's I only heard "The Works" "To Be Frank" 15 Minutes, like 5 years ago !! I loved Human Racing (and still do) but those albums where even better. Gutted I never got to see him Tour either I had no clue that he was still touring 7 years ago. is this sounding bitter. lol. Rant over - Thank you Nik for your stunning contribution to my collection.

I won’t hear more profound music in my lifetime. Voice texturing in to the dynamics of the music to the point of perfection. Ingenious lyrics and song composition. Nic you are the most naturally gifted songwriter. Nice base line in this song as well if I might. Promises, Cloud Nine both-incredible musical accomplishments one could only dream of offering. Staggering to me your offerings. Thanks

Jane, I love the juxtaposition of the Frankenstein footage and this beautiful song. "Frank" is that fellow who has divorced himself from his humanity--so is a bit of a joyless monster. So for me, the the images are apt. Watching this has made me cry so many times...great art, very moving. Thank you.❤

I think he sold way in excess of 9 million albums. I suppose he is like Depeche Mode with a dedicated group of followers who "get" good music.

He was HUGE in the 80s so not fair to say that

Nice video ... but I was looking for the "town with pitchforks" ending (actually always written into the song as I heard it), where Frankie does, in fact, not "die laughing"
