You could tell Nik kinda' bristled at that short comment. ;). I don't think there was a rivalry between him and Hutchence. Comparing the two is like the old apples and oranges comparison. Nik is a gifted singer/songwriter while Michael is a frontman singer.

Nah, I could definitely sense a status war here. Nik was the biggest solo act from 84 through to 85. Michael was upcoming around that time, you could tell there was a big ego.
