Nike Air Max BW OG and 2021 comparison

One of the sexiest sneakers around. I got a pair too on release. Way way better than previous retros. The paint cracked almost immediately on older retros, but nike have done it differently this time around. I've worn mine many times since I copped, and they still look brand new. It's a really good remastered shoe. Best so far. Shame the air unit isn't as chunky. But I expected that. I had the first retro of these in the late 90s. It was the marina colourway. I could've had them In 91 and 92 but I opted for the j6, Reebok pump omni zone, and huarache at those times. Tons of variety back then. Too much for any one kid to have.👍

Yeah man, that's exactly it.. why I like to hunt the original nikes there was so much released every year. If anyone says, "I had them all" are damn liars lol.. nikes catalog was ridiculous and so many good kicks released every year. Definitely the golden era was the 80s/90s. Very happy with this retro, it's an absolute must have. Glad they had them at niketown I wanted them last year but picked up too many ogs lol.. good problems

@@ogorbust1697 yeah, I was pretty blessed when it came to kicks. From 1990 I'd get a pair from my mom for starting a new year of school. And I'd spend birthday and Christmas money from family on kicks. But even then it was impossible to get everything. Like you say, it was the golden era from the late 80s to mid 90s. I remember turning up to school in my Reebok pump one day. And my school mate turned up in some nike air tech challenge 3's lol. Man, I was super jealous even though I was rocking the most popular kicks of the time. And I'm still yet to own a pair of the tech challenge 3. I've missed every release, and they're super hard to find in the uk.

Can you confirm that? I'm a collector and all my airmax collection from 90s and early 2000s have crumbled and disintegrated due to exposure of polyurethane material to moisture in air. It's a chronic illness of airmax sole technology due to material used in production. Can you confirm that the `new` Nike Air Max soles don't crumble in time sitting in a shoe box? It's the only reason why I don't collect airmax anymore. If Nike has fixed that issue that's happyday!!

Safe a 1992 release. The limited edition which had leather uppers are all released in 1992 or later. Good video 👌🏻

How do yours feel on feet? Many said they wasn't comfortable. But I find mine really nice under foot. Not bad comfort at all imo. Even more comfortable once broken in.

@@sinewriter I find these just as comfortable as the retro I had in the late 90s. Which I thought was strange, because the gass used in the air bags was different back then. A lot less denser which gave them more comfort imo. But these feel great.

Even between a size 12 and 13 the size difference in boxes is unreal.I really hope that they stop producing the giant boxes that 13s are usually in

Toe box is a bit more aerodynamic the og has had more of a natural curve from heel to toe.

@@ogorbust1697 would probably make the OG a bit more comfy I reckon! Nike have been doing a pretty good job of their retros lately, especially the running shoes. I just wish they'd stop padding the tongues in the Jordan 4s lol
