Love this Vomero, I have over 100 miles on it. Awesome for longer runs as my legs feel fresh afterwards. Great slow and recovery trainer for me, disappears underfoot. I hate Peg 38, soft heal and firm (zoom air unit) in forefoot makes an awful transition from heel strike to toe off.

They remind me of the Lunarglide 2 that I wore when I first started running. It’s not the fastest shoe, but it’s a good choice if you could only have one shoe.

I’m with Thomas and Brandon on this one. I am not always looking for a super shoe with bounce, carbon plates, whatevs and this is just a good, solid daily trainer for me. It is not great looking, although the black/white hides some of that, but that aside I am going to stick with this and the Clifton 8 for the winter months.

I have both the Peg 38s (second pair since I put a little over 400 miles on the first pair) and the Vomero 16s. They both work well for me. I use the Vomero for my longer runs and the Pegs for the daily grind. (NB Rebel 2 for tempo and More 3 for easy days).

I have the Peg 38's too but looking for more cush for longer runs. How are they different to you?

@@jackwright3098 definitely more cushioned. The Zoom X is noticeably different (softer) from the React Foam. If your foot strike moves closer to the heel when you run slower, the difference will become apparent. If, however, you are always a midfoot or forefoot striker, it might not matter that much to you.

Just tried on a pair of the vomero 16 at the Nike Outlet. Wow, not a pretty shoe at all Got no step in cush that I would expect from ZoomX. Funky upper fit. Feels lighter on foot than it looks. Got no special feeling plodding in store. Glad I tried it on. No FOMO here. No Nikes for me in 2021. And probably not in 2022 unless the Pegasus gets reinvented

I didn't feel the zoom pop and the cushions.. Honestly i felt my Peg38 more compared than this shoe. I also got left foot cramps on my Vomero16 :(

How long unused running shoes last on shelf? I bought many pairs on discount and I was thinking is it safe to keep them and use them after 2 years? Or will the quality deteriorate?

I loved the Vomero 14 with the exception of the tongue which was to short. The 15 and 16 are imho too ugly and too heavy. And I didn’t watch/read any good review about them either

It’s a nice cruising shoe when you just want to have a casual run. There are better colour ways than what is in this video. It’s better than Pegasus 38 but not as good as Novablast 2 imo.

Love your videos! But this shoe is horrible! This shoe has no forefoot cushion and Meg says it right- no pop/no response- its just flat. Its not breathable. The midfoot cage is over the top- not needed! The style of the shoe is from the late 90's! I feel Nike is living on the 2% pro shoe and the whole running line is ok! The fit of this shoe is true to size...but Not worth getting!

I did a side by side comparison of the Vomero 15 and 16 recently at the Nike store. The upper is slightly different between the two versions and the tongue on the 16 is considerably thicker, but that's about it. If you did a blind test on both, you'd be hard pressed to pick out the 15 from the 16..Overall, I don't see a reason to own this and the Pegasus. I'll stick with the latter.

I prefer the underfoot feeling of the Peg 37 over the brief in store feeling I got from the vomero 16. I liked the ride of the Peg 37 but the heel slip was a letdown
