Nike Book 1 "Mirage" (Light Orewood Brown): Review & On-Feet

Nike's debut signature sneaker for NBA All-Star, Devin Booker, is finally here. The Book 1 is tuned for the court but designed to be very wearable off-court as well, which makes it a shoe I was excited to pickup to review. I love this shoe. Colorway and style is perfect. You’re right on the fitting. I’m a size 10-10.5 as well and got a size 10 and fit very snug. So definitely gonna up to a 10.5.

Was hoping you reviewed these as I’m a wide 11….and was about to grab TTS.. I love that some of the Nike lineage was evident on the toe box, just waiting to see different color ways

Loved this review. I got these and I have nothing to say but good things about them, except for the pointy toe box which these types of shoes usually have. At first I tried half a size up, but I needed more room in the toe box so I went a full size up and now they’re much more comfortable I’ve only used them for casual use though, I have 3 other shoes for actually hooping, but I would totally hoop with these if I was on a court by myself. I’m a bit of a stickler for keeping high quality materials clean, and because I got them for casual use I wouldn’t want other people stepping on them while playing. But yeah, I’m very happy with the shoe

Hey Sean, I was able to purchased both pairs for retail. I've tried the Mirage V1 on the basketball court. The traction is phenomenal on the clean court while the collar of the ankle gives a lot of support in the ankle area! I went true to size since these shoes will be broken in over time as I play. I would say go half size up for casual wear since they fit snug at initial first wear. They feel more of a midtop basketball shoe instead of a low top shoe. I would say they remind me of a KD15 and a Kobe 5 with more padding. This shoe is the first time I've gone TTS since all the new Nike basketball shoes, I normally wear half a size up. Plus the last time I went TTS was the Kobe 6 Metallic Silver, those Kobes weren't as narrow compare to the Protros. I know the Book 1 have mixed opinions but they are comfortable and innovative in their own special way! Thanks for the review!

My pair came in today. I went TTS and they are snug, but feel like they might loosen up over time. A half size up might been more toe room than I like. I have a narrow foot.
